We went the week before Christmas. Coronado Business Class has some good, some bad. Feel free to ask questions.

First of all, the Cococino Lounge is nearly worthless. Food is low quality. Definitely not Disney quality. More like really cheap motel breakfast food. Cinnamon rolls are NOT Disney cinnamon rolls. Not tasty. Limited hours. No real "concierge" service.

Good:
Location- cannot be beat. Right next to El Centro. CSR is HUGE. There is NO WAY I would ever stay out in the Ranchos.

Quiet- did not hear our neighbors once.

Pretty- gorgeous grounds and landscaping.

Pepper Market Coffee Bar- cool place to hang out and have a coffee.

Rix Lounge- nice bar with a dance floor.

Bed was comfortable. A/C worked well after we bypassed the thermostat controls.

Parking- very easy access to parking lot near building.

Bad:

The Cococino Lounge- cheap food and the staff did NOT want to be there. Very limited hours. We were pretty much at the parks during lounge hours. No big loss anyway. Terra chips, hummus, fruit, very low quality pastries, muffins, bagels, cereal, meat and cheeses. Cheap beer, sangria and no water bottles. We were totally disappointed with the lounge. Have had much better afternoon/evening service at Holiday Inn. For the extra money, you could set up your own snacks in your room with good stuff!

Housekeeping. Did not clean our room for 3 days. Front desk claimed we had Privacy Please sign on the door. We only had the sign on the door for about 30 minutes each day, while we showered and changed. When I get back from the parks at 3:30pm, I expect the room to be cleaned! Nope! Asked for housekeeping when we got back from the parks at 10pm. Front desk said they would send someone to clean room. 2 hours later when housekeeping showed up, we were too tired.

When they finally came the next day, Housekeeping threw away the plastic vacuum bags we brought our nice clothes for V & A's. Front desk gave us $150 credit to buy a new suitcase in the gift shop.

Pools and hot tubs close at 10pm.

Bathroom fixtures are worn.

Smoking areas are right in heavily traveled areas. For example, you have to walk right thru the DSA on the bridge to get to the pool. There was never anyone at the DSA so, really, no big deal.

No opinion:

Buses- we mostly drove our rental car to the parks. CSR is so centrally located to everything. You are literally 5 minutes drive away from everything except the Magic Kingdom.

No good craft beers. All the deluxe resorts have local craft beers on the bar menu. Had to go to Publix to get good beer.

Would I stay there again? No. Give me deluxe!

I will add more things in the replies as I think of them.

This is really timely since I just booked this for our June trip. I really wanted to stay in the Boardwalk area, but the prices have gone up so much and discounts are less, so I just can't justify the cost this time. I've never stayed CL at a deluxe, so I'll have nothing to compare it to. I had looked at some reviews of CSR's business class and figured it would be worth it with the discount to go ahead and do that (vs. just reserving a regular room) -- especially because of the building location. You obviously weren't very impressed with the experience -- sorry to hear that.

I will say that we stayed in the CSR Business Class in early Dec and we liked the lounge access for breakfast. They had very nice fruit and berries, fresh and perfectly ripe, with decent yogurt and granola. Fresh fruit, nice tea, coffee, and an espresso machine. So, for breakfast in a calm quiet place before heading to the parks it was wonderful. The pastries were meh, but there were bagels. Also cereal I think. We started each day there very happily.

As to the evening lounge hours, we usually missed them, but did get a couple of glasses of wine, some chips and dip, and later tea and honey, a few times.
For us, it was only 25$ more per night and with three adults in one room, it was worth it to not have to brave the busy food court first thing in the morning.

The location is nice too.

Yeah, it's okay. But for $25/day you could buy some GOOD Disney food (Chip & Dale pretzels, disney cinnamon rolls, fruit, etc.) and set up your OWN concierge lounge :-) The stuff they put out was bland.

The espresso machine in the lounge did not make hot coffee. The coffee bar in the Pepper Market has a better espresso machine (but it is still an "instant" espresso maker.) They are not grinding beans. They use a coffee packet.

One thing everyone needs to keep in mind. This is NOT club level. It is Business Class.

It is a continental breakfast. There are no hot items like Club Level. It's $25-50 per night depending on season and you get the premier room location of all the WDW Mod resorts. Club level at WDW is around $150 per night, there is no comparison to be made there.

A family of 3 or 4 is not going to get a better breakfast at disney prices for $25. For breakfast fresh fruit, yogort, granola, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, and yes cinnamon rolls or danish. They are the cheap cinnamon rolls, not world class cinnamon buns from an expensive bakery. Again continental breakfast.

I don't eat pretzels so can't comment of those. However the choc chip cookies they serve in the evenings are amazing!! They are the good fresh baked ones from the bakery. You can have a couple beers or wine. No there is no "craft" beers or $500 bottles of wine. You are more than welcome to grab cans of pop/juice to take back to the room as well.

The 28 nights we've spent in BC there the staff was outstanding.

So for a mere $25/night you get all of this and the best room location of any mod at WDW. Sounds like a great deal to me!!

For about $500 a night more you can get a little more stuff at a deluxe.

Sounds like CL at the deluxes will suit your tastes better, but IIRC they don't supply bottled water any more either. I had no complaints about my morning cappuccinos, and they were certainly hot. Perhaps there was a problem with ithe machine when you were there.

Pastries aren't something we want at breakfast, so I can't really comment on those. We enjoyed the juice, fresh fruit, cereal and yogurt though. And the bagels. Certainly better, for us, than fighting the morning crowd in the food court. We frequently had appetizers/ snacks with a glass of wine or beer in the late afternoon before heading back to the parks for the evening. They have additional items to sample at that time. Late evening, we would usually stop by for a glass of wine and one of their freshly baked cookies. White chocolate macadamia cookies right out of the oven quickly became a habit.

And of course the location is excellent. We had none of the Housekeeping issues that you experienced - our room was always done by the time we came back in the afternoon.

For the $25/night extra that we paid, for 2 adults, we think that it was money well spent.

i agree about the staff. We gave them very generous tips on our last day because they were so helpful and accommodating. Also, I didn't try the cookies but heard they were great. We did, however, always take a couple of oranges to go in the morning, as well as tea bags and honey to take to our room. They even gave us a small pint of milk to keep in our fridge for tea as well. In the mornings they gave us to-go cups for our coffee. Our thought was the same as yours...for 3 adults, for roughly 8 dollars a day per person, we got a nice start to the day and enough food to last us until a mid-morning snack, or even in some cases, we lasted till lunch. Plus we got to finish the day with a glass of wine and a bit of a nosh. While I liked staying uninformed in the Disney Bubble, I will add the my mom enjoyed reading the daily papers provided at the lounge. I say, good deal!

Glad to read the positive replies. We're staying BC at CSR when we go, and because of the Early 2016 room discount, it actually wound up being LESS than my original reservation of a preferred room (with no discount). We're mostly excited about the continental breakfast. I don't expect big, gourmet cinnamon rolls at a continental breakfast. We're on the QS dining plan, so the continental breakfast will mean that we can save our two QS credits for lunch and dinner and our snack credit for some special treats (cupcakes, Dole whips, School Bread, little plates at the F&G kiosks in Epcot, etc.)

I guess if I was used to deluxe accommodations and was paying significantly more for BC than a regular/preferred room at CSR, I'd be a little more concerned about getting my money's worth, but because of the discount, we're actually getting more for less. And being in such a great location between El Centro and the main pool is exciting too.

The room location alone was worth the extra money, for me. It's not CL, and was never supposed to be and my understanding is that the CL rooms are all doing away with the to-go water bottles.

Thanks for the review. We were considering it, but I still don't think it would be worth it for us. We usually leave before the club level lounges open anyway. I need protein at breakfast, and they sometimes don't have that. DS and DH might find something though. We are usually at the parks during the day, so we wouldn't take advantage them.

I disagree. For $125 ($25 for 5 nights), I could've put together a KILLER spread of good things I actually like from Disney. Main Street Confectionery, Boardwalk Bakery, etc provide delicious pastries, Mickey sugar cookies, Chip and Dale pretzels, cheese plate from France, cupcakes. You know, good stuff! Not generic, and I must say, rather unappetizing looking stuff! This was my 16th Disney trip. I know good Disney food and CSR BC doesn't provide it! Next time I will make my OWN snack lounge!

But, I agree. Worth it for location alone. Just don't have too high expectations of the lounge.

Well, it's worth noting that rack rate difference for a Standard Room or a Preferred Room is roughly $40/night during Holiday at CSR. It's +$15 for Business Class (again, rack), same time period. So +$15 is the differential between plain old Preferred and BC. That's less than two (yes, non-premium) beers/night bought anywhere else at Disney.

It's a $50 difference between Standard and Preferred (rack) at CBR, same time period, and $35 for the difference between Standard and Preferred at POR.

It's not a Deluxe Club Level. But when you look at the differential between a similar view and CL at a Deluxe, it is a much greater jump than $15.

I'll also note that most resorts are currently enforcing similar pool hours; I've seen similar hours complaints from friends staying at Grand Flo, which is as premium as they come. I don't know that any of the Disney pools are 24-7 any more. They've had issues.

We just loved BC at CSR. We loved the location as well as the lounge. Having wine at night was great. Always took a to go glass of sangria back to the room too. The breakfast was fine for us. Quick and easy. Going back for spring break - tho the lounge may not be open in time for early mornings at parks n

Yes but I have had better quality evening service at Holiday Inns at zero additional cost. Better beer, better and more food. (The best was apres-ski at Holiday Inn in Sandy, UT.)

You're just on a different page then most of us.

I don't eat pastries, sugar cookies and cup cakes for breakfast. There is nothing wrong with the breakfast offered at BC CSR. Nothing you have mentioned replaces the breakfast. For most families of 4, it would cost more than $25 for breakfast at the food court and you have the inconvience of going to the food court.

The cookies they serve at night are top notch and are on the same level as the BW bakery (although not as big of variety, obviously).

I'm wondering where the $25 number comes from...? When I priced our vacation, non-discounted rates are $202 for a standard room and $289 for BC.

I was comparing Preferred and BC. It was also season-specific - I looked at Holiday rack rate. It varies by season.

BC compares closest to Preferred, due to the building location.
