I have a question about CSR bus system. I know there are multiple bus stops. I was wondering if one bus goes to each of the stops then goes to the park or if there is one bus per stop. We stayed at the POP last year and really liked the bus system and wanted to know if it was similar.princess:

Every bus stops at every bus stop. You go to a stop and wait for the bus you want to come. Same thing with stop #1. The buses to the parks stop at #2, 3, 4, and then 1, in that order, and then go to the parks. The buses to DTD stop at #1, 2, 3, and 4, in that order and then go to DTD. They drop off in the same order.

It's not quite the same as at POP; there are no queues set up. It's more like a regular bus stop on the street. You all wait together and get on the bus.

Enjoy - we loved CSR!

There is one bus that goes to all of the stops then off to the park. The order of stops is not in numerical order though. We used bus stop #1 which is the one near the lobby, this was always the last bus stop for pick up and drop off for parks. I think that the order for the Downtown Disney bus was different though - I can't quite remember though.

We are staying at CSR in June for the first time but I've stayed at CBR a couple of times and the way they run at the mods is that there is a bus for each park and it stops at each bus stop at the resort and then heads to the park. Same thing when you return. The bus leaves the park and stops at each stop to drop people off.

Thank you for the responses. We are trying to decide to either stay at CSR or CBR, any thoughts? We want something a little nicer than the POP but also want good transportation. princess:

Bus service is hit or miss at any resort (as is the monorail in my opinion). We love the CSR (having stayed seven times with number eight booked). Personally, we don't use the buses as we rent a car. There are four stops at the CSR (seven at the CBR). The bus at CSR picks up at the stops in the following order:

BUSES
Theme park bus stops go in this order:
The bus stops are:
Bus Stop 2: Casitas
Bus Stop 3: Ranchos
Bus Stop 4: Ranchos and Cabanas
Bus Stop 1: El Centro

This is approximate amount of time once the buses leave CSR until they arrive at the park:

Hollywood Studios - Bus Stop 6 (1st stop) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
AK - Bus Stop 8 (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

Thanks for your reply. I think we are leaning towards CSR. It is going to be me and my husband and it looks like a nice place to relax. (when we aren't at the parks).

My husband and I love it...we've always stayed there when it is just the two of us. We celebrated our 25th anniversary there in September and we had our seventh great stay. It is a great place to stay for two adults. Here is a link to my review if you'd like to see it:

CSR has terrific transportation. It doesn't share with any other resort (like POR / POFQ) and it only has 4 bus stops within the resort (vs 7 at CBR). And since CSR is centrally located, you'll have a quick ride to all the parks. And being a convention resort, the buses seem less crowded because guests are busy with their conventions.

CSR is the most central to the 3 parks. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World in part three "Selecting your Hotel" it states that the commuting times to the parks from CSR are: 7:30 to MK; 4:00 to Epcot; 4:45 to MGM; and 4:45 to Animal Kingdom! As a comparison from POR it is 12:00 to MK; 8:00 to Epcot; 12:30 to MGM; and 16:15 to AK. See the map below.

They go in this order to assist guests in getting to the main building and back to their village.

I've stayed at all levels of Disney resorts from Pop to Beach club and found the bus transportation the best as CSR. I really dislike being crammed into buses like sardines and just did not experience that at CSR. Pop in my opinion was the worst with POFQ coming in a cloes second.
Good luck with what you decide and if you choose CSR for an adult trip I do not think you will be disappointed. :goodvibes

Thanks for this info it is just what I needed. I'll be there 3/21-3/28 and I am so excited!!:cool1:

You like the bus system at POP? Honestly, I do not think anyone has EVER said that before. POP is known for having the WORST bussing ever. You liked the mile walk it took you to get to the bus when you left the parks? I hated the bus system at POP and for that reason alone will never go back there. If you loved POPs bussing then you will want to marry CSR!
