Except for a few very expensive king suites, CSR is booked up for 4/12-4/19. This caught me off guard because Easter is in March & college spring breaks are pretty much over. I know other school systems may be off this week, but no more so than other weeks in April.

Since I didn't think it was going to be that popular and we are still 8 months away, I would just wait until the 2008 rates come out.

I guess for now I consider POR or POFQ and keep trying to see if anything opens up at CSR.

I would definitely continue to try. Conventions set a "book by" date and whatever rooms are left get released back to the general public.

I just looked it up and it shows king beds @ $185 a night...the king suites are $695. a night

I booked April 5-12, but was not able to get the AAA rate (at least not yet ;) ). When I checked online for those dates (just curious how busy it would be since AAA was not available), there were no rooms available at all. I googled April 2008 Coronado Springs Convention, but I couldn't find anything that seemed to be going on. Wonder what is up with CSR in April 2008?

I didn't see the rooms for $185 when I checked yesterday, but it doesn't really help as there are 2 adults and one teen in the party.

Thanks anyways!

I actually poked around doing the same thinking that there must be a site that list all the upcoming conventions, but I came up empty.

I spent alot of time yesterday playing around on the website and it appears that many dates only show availability either in concierge, king beds, or a higher price "view" at many resorts. I have a feeling that not all room types have been loaded into the system. Also you may need to play around with arrival/departure dates as the system seems to favor longer stays. I can't imagine since nothing has been released until a few days ago, that a particular resort could already be "sold out". Even if there were a convention or group space, it wouldn't account for the entire resort or leave only the more costly room types open and available. I'd keep checking. ---Kathy

I called last night and I asked the CM if all the rooms have been released and she said that they were. Of course, she could be wrong! :rolleyes1 I even had them try shifting my dates a few days forward without any luck. Also, I could be wrong, but even though the 2008 rates have only been out for a few days, rooms at any resort could be booked before then.

labbattlue is correct. Room only resesrvations could be booked even before the new 2008 rates were loaded and announced. I think many people do do this.

I tried to book CSR for the beginning of Feb. today and there was nothing available:confused3 . I'm a bit dissappointed as I had really talked myself into trying CSR. We booked POFQ instead and I'm sure we'll love it! Maybe next time we'll get to try CSR!

I also booked POFQ tonight for an APril stay, but will continue to try and get into CSR.
