I know there is a whole big thread on the CSR (and it's wonderful) however, I really don't feel like searching the whole thing to find out if the beds are comfortable compared to say the All Stars?

We are staying there in however many days it says at the end of my post :teeth: and I want to stay in the cabanas section, however, I don't want to request too much (and bother them because we are getting two rooms) I just wanted to know if the standard beds are comfortable, otherwise I was going to request a king room and that would probably leave me limited options regarding what section they put us in.

Okay any suggestions, opinions, anything???

Thanks guys!

I loved the resort... But we had a King bed. It was back in June of this year. We had just bought our DVC. Fun Place... I would hope someone comes along that has stayed in the standard room.

We stayed in a std room with 2 doubles and it was typical of any of the moderates or AS, I believe. DH and I always share with one of the kids because we are long past squeezing into a double! We have a King at home so the smallest I'll go is a Queen with him. I think they're fairy comfortable but I had the best night's sleep ever at AKL in a queen bed while the kids shared a bunk. Not that this helps you any but I think it may have been because it was so dark at night in these rooms!

Don't worry about requesting too much. You want what you want on vacation so you'll be happy. Just ask for it!! Find out how many King rooms they have in the Cabanas section and say "OK I'd like one of those please". See, how easy it is?

I just came back from CSR a few weeks ago. I stayed in Cabanas 9B and the standard bed was fine! I slept like a baby. :) I was at the AKL in May and found the beds there really uncomfortable. I was awake every 2 hours flipping around trying to get comfortable. Best beds I've had so far have been at the Contemporary, CSR and ASMu.

:D

I loved the beds at the CSR. I stayed in the Ranchos section and the beds were extremely comfortable. But, then again, after a day of walking around and being active, I could fall asleep on a concrete slab. Cushioning is a bonus at the end of the day. lol.

Thanks guys for the replies!

July, what section did you actually stay in and was the king bed comfortable?

I am really trying to decide whether or not it's more important for me to be in the cabana's or the king room with the double standard attached (that room is for our kids so our choices are REALLY limited). I am going to give a call today and see what they have to say, maybe they can give me some insight on which section has the king rooms.

We stayed in the last building in Castitas. It was a long walk to the food court. But beautiful looking across the lake at night at the Dig site area.
Good luck
