Please tell me your favorite Counter Service Restaurants and what you order! I am trying to figure out where to eat! :confused3

Thank you!!!

On our last trip, our favorites were:

Flame Tree BBQ (AK)-the ribs or the pulled pork sandwich
Roaring Forks (WL)-the Beef & Blue sandwich or the Turkey Tarragon sandwich
Tangierine Cafe (Epcot)-the combo platter

There has been many that say how bad the ABC commensary is, but every time I have been in there, there is long lines, shoulder to shoulder people and my burger has always been good, so i quess it can't be all bad, I like the ABC. Just as good as electric Umbrella.

1. Columbia Harbour House - MK - Anything. It's all good :)
2. Tortuga Tavern - MK - Tacos!
3. Wolfgang Puck's Cafe Express - DTD - I change it up, but the pastas and pizzas are awesome, as well as the roasted chicken.

Columbia Harbour House - their offerings are interesting and a lot different than the usual burgers and fries fare...and it's all good, too.

Wolfgang Puck Express - It's really quite delicious. Never had a bad meal here.

Sunshine seasons - Another CS with interesting offerings.

I ate at the ABC Commissary in Oct and my burger was horrible. I only ate 1/2. I wouldn't waste a CS Credit on the Electric Umbrella with all of the wonderful CS in Epcot.

Our park favorites include:
Flame Tree Barbeque in AK
Columbia Harbour House at MK, followed closely by Pecos Bills and Cosmic Ray's
DHS is not great but Backlot Express surfices.
In Epcot we love many of the International CS in WS. We enjoy
La Cantina in Mexico, Sommerfest in Germany, French Bakery in France, Tangerine Cafe in Morroco and Yorkshire County Fish in the UK. We enjoyed the Yakatori House in Japan and look forward to trying the new Katusra Grill in the fall.
Enjoy

This month, Pepper Market at Coronado Springs Resort went back on our good list for lunches. They had a trial of their lunch buffet and it was very good.
We had eaten there in August 2011 and swore we were done with the place!

This time you could pick from multiple stations and go back as often as you wanted. We found the salad bar to be fresh, the pasta was good, the grill station had prime rib one day and a pork roast the other, and the desserts were excellent as usual. They had a large station with tacos and such that looked great but we did not try it. They also had pizza and the normal sandwiches.

All in all for 1 CS credit, it was good. I am still not really sure of the tipping rules there. Because it is CS you would expect no tipping but on the receipt it mentioned tips and when we were a party of 6 or more it seemed like 18% would have been expected. I tipped 10% and left it at that.

We also tried Yak and Yeti counter service for the first time. The portions were large enough to share and the meal quite tasty. I would try it again. The frozen lemonade dessert was refreshing.

One to avoid is FairFax Fare in DHS. It was our first time to eat there. It was a horrid experience! We ordered the ribs and chicken. It was served up quickly but when we got it to the table we discovered the chicken was bleeding raw! Not just p[ink but bloody red! I returned all four meals and explained that they were undercooked and that we would like cooked meals. You would think I was asking for fresh dragon meat! It took three people to look at it before I got any kind of response! And then the first words were, "Don't you want the ribs?" Huh? They are covered in raw chicken.....no I will not eat those ribs!

I expected a response of Oh we are sorry. Here let me get you replacement meals. I meal things happen. But to look at me like I was crazy for not eating raw chicken! WOW! DD, who was with us is in the food service business and has to take regular course in food safety (Safe Serve). She was astonished at the way the whole thing was handled!

Contempo Cafe @ Disney's Contemporary Resort: Chicken Ceasar Salad with the dressing tossed in.

Earl of Sandwich @ Downtown Disney Marketplace: The Original 1762 and one of their Soups on the side, although I won't know which one until I see what they have available when I order.

1. Tangierine Cafe in Epcot; I like the chicken platter.

2. Columbia Harbor House, MK. I like the lighthouse sandwich

3. Flame Tree BBQ at AK, the pulled pork.

4. Earl of Sandwich, the caprese.

I think Wolfgang Puck Express is probably the best overall variety/quality but there's nothing specific there I'd recommend as I've been pretty pleased with everything I've had there.

On our last trip we particularly enjoyed:

Sunshine Seasons at Epcot
Lotus Blossom Cafe at China, Epcot (this may just be our obsession with the orange sesame chicken!)
Pepper Market at Coronado Springs (there are rumours that this is trialing a buffet?!)
Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney

We tend to find counter services can get a little samey so we try and find the 'interesting' ones. We haven't actually eaten there but I quite fancied the one by the Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom!

Captain Cooks at Polynesian - Grown up grilled cheese sandwich, polynesian chips & dole whip for dessert

Contemporary's Contempo cafe - fresh fish sandwich (with yummy coleslaw - so good!).

Columbia Harbour House at MK - Classic fish & chicken basket - but all of it is so good!! My favorite CS out of any restaurant at WDW!

Flame Tree BBQ at AK - Ribs! And the fruit platter is awesome (we get it to share)

Pizza - yup, I LIKE the pizza at WDW! It's pretty much the same at all the places but I prefer the veggie at Toy Story Pizza Planet at HS or just plain cheese at Pizzafari at AK or any of the waterpark quick service places.

My husband and I really enjoyed Picabu at the Dolphin. It was tucked away, quiet, and food was made fresh to order. Not on DDP though but that doesn't matter to us.

Really, a hidden gem.

Also enjoyed:

Riverside Mill - choose your own Pasta was a wonderful treat

Capt. Cook's - grown-up grilled cheese, the lo mein noodles, and the Polynesian Chips were amazing!

I forgot to mention the Boardwalk To Go which is located @ the Boardwalk Inn/Boardwalk Villas. Over there I like to purchase their Cheeseburger Basket which includes French Fries and a drink, their Breaded Chicken Sandwich Basket which also includes French Fries and a drink and finally I also like their Nacho's with Cheese.

I like the slider combo at Tangeriene Cafe in Epcot/Morocco. Sunshine Seasons has a nice variety for everyone. At MK, I like the Columbia Harbour House, lighthouse sandwich. At AK, I like the mandarin chicken salad at the Y&Y counterservice. HS counter service is unremarkable overall, but maybe I'll change my mind next week.
