CS or WL?

So I am taking my mother to WDW in May, and was planning on POP, but they are offering such good deals, I talked myself into going moderate (CS looks lovely). However, WL is really starting to look good to me and so is the $750 gift card. I am leaning more toward CS, because WL is about a thousand dollars more for 250 more on the gift card. So what do u guys think, is WL worth the price difference? Also, I know u guys say the job market is bad in FL but should I bring resumes with me just in case? Lately I have been carrying them with me everywhere!

I love the Wilderness Lodge. I mean it really depends on how much you want to splurge for your mom, or if you're mom is going to help pay for it.

I prefer the resorts that have all the rooms in the main building, like Wilderness Lodge, Contemp. I'm not really fond of the resorts with scattered about rooms like Port Orleans, Carribean. that's just a personal preference for me. Of course, the fort is a whole different story. They are beautiful resorts to visit and explore, but just not my style.

How bad are you looking for a job, and what are you looking into doing? Just remember, florida is pretty cheap. You can make more money some place else doing the same thing here.

I think I have decided on CS, but it depends on whether business picks up at the restaurant or I get that elusive suit and tie job (but some of my friends say I make more waiting tables than they make at their desks lol).

As for the job search thing, I am pretty much ruining whole ecosystems from all the resumes I am sending out, cut somewhat by the loads of companies that allow u to submit them online without having to use their ridiculous resume-builder tools. I am just blindly whoring myself out at this point hoping some corporation will take the bait so we shall see...

I don't know I think I may rule out any places that have a worse climate than I already have and go from there. I was glad to read on another thread that u got a job Sandra. That is awesome! So is all of FL really sucky right now job-wise??

We stayed at WL in '07 and we liked it. I did get frustrated with the transportation, though.

We were thinking of staying at CS last month but we ended up switching over to AKL. The nice thing about CS is that the beds are queen as opposed to double like the other value and mod properties. It is a very large resort and it caters to conventions if that matters to you.

AKL is by far our absolute favorite. Love it there!!

We love CS, it's big, but I find it to be quieter than the other resorts. I love the pool area.

Any resort can have annoying transportation options, if you don't know all your options. I also want to think that they've made a couple of changes at the Lodge since 07.

I would assume the worse transportation nightmare is the Epcot resorts that share all the same bus. At least at the Lodge, it shares only with the Grand for some parks and Ft Wilderness for others.

We LOVE CS....booked there for June trip....

It is much quieter, and the buses run consistently, and ONLY to CS...so much nicer at the end of a busy day...
