Quick recap ...... My mom and I are taking my girls September 8-13 for a "big sister" trip before baby #3 is born the beginning of December. This trip was last minute since we were just at Disney in February so we are being budget conscious.

We booked business class at CS for the week with free dining. My mom really likes the idea of the breakfast and evening snack options of business class. I can take it or leave it because we have breakfast reservations several mornings and will be at the parks in the evenings since we're taking afternoon breaks most days. Either way, we were both happy with the plan.

BUT then I received a free dining code today. My original first room choice was a princess room at POR because my girls would LOVE it .... they turn 6 and 4 this summer. I can get that now with free dining but we won't have the "extras" that come with business class.

So what would you do?

Business class at CS or Royal Room at POR

If this trip is about your girls... then I'd both what you think they would enjoy the most. Princess rooms! However keep in mind the princess room bus stop is the very last bus stop, so be prepared to stand. I'm a CSR lover but I would trade everyday snacks to see my little ones light up with delight over princesses! princess:

That's what I'm thinking, too! The cost difference for the entire week is only $70 so basically nothing.

We love CSR - it's our favorite moderate but LOVED the princess: POR Royal rooms and would go back in a heartbeat!!!

And NO you don't have to stand - go the the South Depot right there at the main building which for many of the Royal rooms is closer than the far off bus stop for their area. We were always the first ones on the bus! It's a pretty walk by river and over the bridge there vs through a parking lot and trees to get to an outside loop stop.

How long would the walk be from the main building? From the pool? To/from the bus stop? I normally wouldn't care but being 28 weeks pregnant will make a difference!! We have only stayed at AKL (one time) so this is all new to me!

Maybe five minutes depending on room location. Scroll down this to the map. The Royal Rooms are the red buildings. Look left over the river that is the main building (food/shop) and you will see South Depot. On Old Man Island is the Main pool. For you going that way to bus is all pathways as opposed to weaving in a parking lot and a walk through trees. You will def want to be at the first stop to get seated asap.

I would call them, tell them you will be very pregnant and request Oak as your building. That is where we were and it was great. River or Garden view is a little bit more but it also puts you on side closest to the bridge and main hub.

The question is how much would the girls enjoy the royal room?

Because you would be giving up the premiere room location of any Mod resort at WDW. The room location is the big draw for the Business Class rooms, not the lounge. The lounge is just a bonus.

The pool is much nicer for the girls at CSR. Premium room location versus one of the least desirable room locations at POR. Far better bus service at CSR. In most people opinion the nicest rooms of the Mod resorts, with the possible exception of the Royal rooms if those appeal to you.

You would be giving up alot IMO. I would just make sure the room is a very big deal to girls before I made the switch.

We love POR and stayed in a royal room a few years ago. The first few days were cool and the room was really pretty. But after the first few days it was just a room. I also didn't care for the location as it seemed like we were much further away from the main building than previously. I am sure that your girls would love the room but it's just a matter of determining how quickly they get over something new like that!
