Trying to get a handle on the DDP thing to see if it would work for DH and myself (no kids on our upcoming 10th Anniv. trip!!). Read somewhere about how the plan is just soooo much food. Am wondering if it would be possible to split the two CS meals each day (one for breakfast, one for lunch) and then pig out for dinner. One thing tho is where and what are CS for breakfast???
If this has already been discussed, sorry--I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks

Sounds like your plan is easily do-able! :teeth: Technically, you don't get as much bang for your buck with a CS breakfast but, unless you're a big eater I don't see a better way to use your CS credits. I don't know where you are staying, but most of the resorts have food courts where you can get a CS breakfast platter (eggs, toast, bacon, etc.) that can easily be shared. For example, Pepper Market at CSR looks like it has a good choice of CS breakfast items. Also, looks like the Main Street Bakery at MK has items that can be easily shared using one CS credit.

As far as sharing your lunch CS--there are alot of choices at the parks as well as at the resorts that offer larger portions (Peco Bill's MK, Tusker House, Flame Tree BBQ at AK, etc.)

I would suggest looking at the menus on the Dis home page to get an idea of the offerings at each restaurant. You can also scroll thru these pages and get lots of great ideas too! ;)

I am going on a trip soon with my mom and we are doing the dining plan. I liked the idea of having our meals paid for in advance. My mom isn't a big eater so, we plan on sharing alot of our CS meals.

Have a great trip!

What a great idea. We have ADRs for one TS meal each day already but I was wondering how to fit in the CS meals. My DS is only 3.5 and is picky and doesn't like most "kid" food, but if we could share CS meals I could just order the adult meals and not have that problem.

I think that is a really good idea. When we were there in August, they were still allowing dessert with breakfast, which meant a huge muffin, pastry, or cookie, etc. It was great - we always saved the "dessert" for a mid morning snack. Now, they don't allow a dessert with breakfast, so you don't get as much for your credit. I would think splitting meals between breakfast and lunch would be plenty of food and a great idea.

Sounds like a fabulous idea!! And congrats on your 10th DH and I are going for our 10th too. When ya going and where ya staying??

Thats a great idea!!! Maybe my DF and I need to try that next time to save some bucks :thumbsup2

That is exactly what we have planned to do. We had the plan last Sept and we did this a few times. Tusker house is great. The Liberty Inn in America at Epcot is good. Cosmic Rays at the MK etc. We are going back for our 30th anniversary to the OP and we will have the DP again. Congratulations on your milestone... :sunny: :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the quick replies. I'll have to check out all the different menus and go from there. We're going May 17-20 (don't want to kill the grandparents with anymore than 4 days away!!) and our waitlist just came thru for VWL (never been there), so things are falling into place.

If you don't have to have "breakfast food" at breakfast - you could also use the grab and go section at the food court the night before and grab a sandwich, side, dessert and bottled drink and put it in the fridge in your room. It is still easy to share, faster than hitting the food court in the morning and you would get a dessert.
