Hello folks!
So we are going back to the world for the second time in our lives next May, this time as our Honeymoon!
We are going to stay at PoP Century and we got QSDP...
So, I need a little help :wizard:to know where are the best CS places among parks and Resorts so we can choose something that does not count as 'only burguers and pizzas' as well perhaps with a little bit of luck, DiSers may also know which ones have a more nice adult felling and atmosphere!:goodvibes
Can you help me plan our honeymoon with no TS to call mine ;)
Thanks a bunch!

I would recommend Sunshine Seasons at Epcot, Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney Marketplace, and the Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort as some of the best counter service locations for adults.

Our favorites include Wolfgang Puck Express in the marketplace, Flame Tree BBQ in AK, Columbia Harbor House in MK, and there are alot of good options at the Pop food court.

Congrats on your marriage!! We also honeymooned in WDW and loved every minute of it :cloud9:

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Tangerine Cafe in Morocco

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ (go really early and then keep on walking past the tables near the counter and find the secluded, shaded are right next to the water with a great view of Everest)

What a wonderful way to begin your lives in wedded bliss  I would say one of my fave CS is Mara (the CS at AKL). We always manage to make our way over there for lunch at least once. They have a chicken pita that is to DIE for. Also agree that Sunshie Seasons at Epcot has a lot of variety to offer. Hope you have an amazing time...

Kringla Bakeri in the Norway Pavilion and Columbia Harbor House in the MK.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Great vegeterian Chili, Lovely Roasted Beet Salad, Turkey on Focaccia and Tangerine Cafe in Morroco, the lamb schwarma platter, no trip to Epcot is complete without a meal at both!

DHS: I don't eat CS there, it's seriously lacking, avoid ABC Commissary at all cost.

MK: Cosmic Rays, really good Turkey Bacon Wrap and Chicken Caesar Salad, Columbia Harbour House, best Tuna salad sandwhich on Whole wheat bread on-site.

AK: I only snack there, 1/2 day park for us. I will say I did have the worst shrimp I ever put in my mouth at the Yak & Yucky CS.

DTD: Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Chinese Chicken salad! Also want to to go to Pollo Campero, New Chicken chain replaes the Macdonals! Ate at one years aog in California, really tasty!

I prefer to stay away form fried foods, burgers and hot dogs if I can!

Congrats and good luck!

Congrats!

I second Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Earl of Sandwich in DD. Both are really good.

We always do Sunshine Seasons in Epcot because the selection is diverse and there is something that appeals to everyone.

Cosmic Rays also has a pretty good selection and we really like Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station, both in MK.

Wolfgang Puck DTD is the absolute best for adults. Great food, large portions, lots of variety and it's almost like a sit down as they bring your food to the table etc.

Kringla Org in Epcot has huge gourmet sandwiches and soup with great options for dessert. YUM!

Captain Cookes in the Polynesian Resort has great food, large portions and great dessert options including dole whips!

Wolfgang Puck's Express in the marketplace is wonderful. It is CS, yet once you order your food you sit at a table and they bring it to you. The servers also go around and refill your drink for you. Very cool. Good food too!

DTD-Earl of Sandwich is good, BUT Wolfgang Puck express is WONDERFUL!!! I second the recommendation of Chinois Chicken Salad. But I also want to try the bacon wrapped meatloaf and pennette chicken alfredo this time.

MK-Cosmic Ray's is good, and Columbia Harbor House is good, and Upstairs is quieter than many CS restaurants.

Epcot-Sunshine Seasons in the Land, and Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco(lamb and Chicken Shawarma platter is the best)

DHS-Starring Rolls has good sandwiches and great desserts.

AK-Flame tree has pretty good ribs.

AKL-Mara has great chicken flatbread ad African stew in breadbowls. Plus Zebra domes for dessert

And many congratulations to you!!!!

Congratulations! We like to go to the resorts for CS...Saratoga Springs has good flatbread pizzas and a yummy house salad, POR has great pasta (you pick out the ingredients yourself), and the BC marketplace has good sandwiches, soup and salad.

Here's our Favorites
MK: Cosmic Rays great wraps and rib and chicken platter me and my husband can actually share the platter and be full.
AK: Flame Tree Barbecue good ribs and pulled pork sandwich nice seating back or you could do the picnic in the park and find a nice place to seat
EP: Sunshine Season great selection awesome desserts
HS: Starring Rolls has good sandwiches

For it to be a little more peaceful and quiet I would try to eat at odd hours not during rushes 12 - 2 and 5 to 7.

Hope you have a great honeymoon.

Congratulations!

MK - We either hop the monorail to the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary or we go to Columbia Harbor House. We like to get there early and eat on the second floor overlooking FL.

EP - Sunshine Seasons

AK - Flame Tree BBQ. The seating is outside and we recommend walking your food over a couple pavilions along the walkway. People tend to cluster in the areas near the building and you don't have to.

DHS - The food here is not too good so we tend to get a snack and then visit a resort. We like to visit Mara at AKL and then visit the resort. They have a traditional African Stew that is delicious.

We really love the food court at Port Orleans-Riverside. They have make your own pasta and salad bar. It is a nice, big food court and we appreciate the healthier options.

I agree with the previous posters on the best CS for adults...I think they have pretty much covered all of my Favs!!

Just one quick suggestion though...

Were you aware that you can upgrade to the Regular Dining Plan (1CS, 1TS and 1 Snack per day) and only pay the difference between the plans? Depending on the time of year year you are going (Value/Reg/Peak...without looking it up not sure which May is) it would cost you about $12 per person per day. You would then get the options of some wonderful table service places! Of course it all depends on your budget and how you prefer to "tackle" the parks...

Congratulations! Here are my 'adult' faves:

MK - Columbia Harbour House is #1!! But I tried Pecos Bills last trip and I loved the toppings bar! If you like grilled onions and mushrooms and cheese (for french fries), this is a great place.

EP - Sunshine Seasons (I like the salmon with olive tapanade for around $10!!)
Tangeriene Cafe at Morocco - bring on the shwarma platter

HS - This is hard, there really isn't any great CS place. I actually like the pizza at Toy Story Pizza Planet but I believe I'm the only adult that does :rotfl:

AK - Flame Tree bbq - ribs and coleslaw, yum. And add in a fruit and yogurt plate!

DTD - Wolfgang Pucks in the Marketplace, not the West side. These are real meals like gourmet sandwiches and pizzas.
Earl of Sandwich - Fabulous sandwiches!!! This place though is relatively cheap ($6 per sandwich) so if you want to maximize your CS credit, go with Wolfgang Pucks.

Hello DISDANCEMOM!
We did the regular Dining Plan in our very first time at WDW last September. It was lovely to have a little time to sit down, very little time to wait till the CM showed our tables but it was a little sad to have to hurry out of the fun b/c we needed to be 'there or elsewhere that fixed time'...

So I kept on reading about the QSDP and on our honeymoon we wanted to try it and I promised my fiance I'll find places without only 'burguer/pizza combos' and I am soooo glad to see all these answers!!! Thanks a lot, Disers nor only for the tips but also the well wishers!

We tried one QS on DTD called Cookes of Dublin... I loved the fish&chips (deep fried sins, I know, but still delicious!) but I'll try WPe!
Thanks for the resorts QS tips! I know the POR food court b/c we stayed there and surely it's lovely to have your pasta or salad made for you with the ingredients you've picked!
We'll keep the AKL and Poly at sight - we ate at Boma and did the luau dinner show and we fell in love with both resorts... Maybe one day we can afford being there! *cross fingers*

Best regards!

Gigi
