What's your favorite CS at DHS? There are great options at Epcot, good options at MK, but DHS is always a PITA to me for CS. We usually grab TS while we are there, but not this time.

What's your favorite CS and what do you like there? We'll have my DD with us, and we're on the DDP.

Thanks!

Starring Rolls is good. I had breakfast there (bagel with cream cheese) and fruit. People on here have also mentioned sandwiches and killer cupcakes.

We have enjoyed the ABC Commissary. I liked the Asian Salad and Fruit Cup. They have a decent mix of choices. Open for B, L, D.

In short, I have to say NO, there is not a cs worth eating at in DHS (this is only my opinion).

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had in my life was at the ABC Commissary. I'm sure you will find a couple people on here who will like ABC, but if you were to poll 100 people who have actually had the courage to walk through their front doors and attempt to eat something there, I'll bet the overwhelming response would be never again.

Any good/bad experiences with Pizza Planet?

I'm not picky with pizza...I liked the old Domino's and the new Domino's, if that gives you a reference. I've heard horror stories lately about ABC Commissary.

Pizza Planet pizza is *blech*! In fact, *any* pizza at a Disney CS is *blech*!

Seriously.

Avoid the pizza.

That said, I enjoy Backlot Express and Studio Catering Co. I tend to go for the pork bbq sandwich. Some croissants for bfast at Starring Rolls to start the day.

The veggie burger at Rosie's isn't bad either.

The sandwiches at Starring Rolls are sooo yummy. You just need to make sure you get there ASAP because they sell out quickly. They are huge and the dessert options for the Dining Plan are amazing. In my opinion, the only CS at DHS to avoid is the Commissary (though, I haven't eaten at Pizza Planet so I cannot talk about that one).

Hi,
I am surprised to hear so many bad reviews for the Commissary. We haven't eaten there for a couple of years so maybe it's not a decent choice now. Sorry.

I totally agree about Starring Rolls! We were in DHS last month and we got ntheir sandwiches on 2 separate days and we had a party of 9 who requested eating there AGAIN! The turkey is great! DH had the ham and their desserts are DIVINE!!!

Good Luck and Happy Eating!

NO ,overall DHS is weak on CS, Staring Roll is the one I hear most people reccomend! The rest each have maybe one good thing on the menu, the rest is same old buger and chicken nugget offerings.

I can't figure it out either?! :confused3 I mean AK which is the newest Park has Yak&Yeti, and Flame Tree BBQ. So why is DHS lacking? :rolleyes1

I thought the fish and chips at ABC Comissary were decent, I have no complaints with that place.

I think I'm going to try Backlot Express and Farifax Fare next trip. I'll be sure to report back. Hopefully they won't be too bad.

This is the only decent CS at DHS. My favorite is the turkey sandwich, my husband loves the black forest ham. Our son loves the cupcakes - even though one is big enough for all of us to eat. The other desserts are incredible, too (I loved the Napoleon, my husband loved the brownie with white chocolate on top). We ate there both days we were in DHS last year.

On the dining plan, you'll definitely have leftovers. We usually ate our sandwiches and brought one or two desserts back to the room for late-night snacking or a really sweet breakfast the next day. And, if I recall correctly, a piece of fruit was also included in the dining plan, although I could be wrong about this. Does anyone else remember? I'm sorry...I could be confusing this with another CS.

Backlot express has a good sandwich. It is a turkey panini with cheese and roasted peppers. It is one of the better places there.
Good luck

We always eat at Pizza Planet!:cheer2: Whats not to like about pizza and salad!:rotfl: It is always hot and seems fresh!:confused3

I like the Chicken Curry at the ABC Commissary, and the Disney burgers anywhere I find are really good. I do agree though, that DHS is lacking in decent CS.

In my opinion, Backlot Express is ok; Starring Rolls is good too. I usually avoid eating at DHS if I can.

I forget the name but it's in that little group of buildings right before RNR. I just looked it up it's Fairfax Fare. DH had a brisket sandwich and I had a salad. We both tasted each others they were both good at least better than any other cs at DHS.

CS at DHS leaves alot to be desired, but this one is quite good. Pork sandwich at Studio Catering is okay too.
