CS: Are some better than others?

Do the CS restaurants tend to have the same stuff, or are there some that are really better than others?

There are some with good variety. For example in MK is Columbia Harbor House, which has tuna sandwiches and shrimp. Also, Cosmic Ray's has ribs and chicken.

In Epcot, there is great variety like Tangierine Cafe in Morocco and you can get fish and chips in UK.

In AK, there is Flame Tree BBQ.

Our personal faves are...MK, Pecos Bills, great fixins bar for burgers, very good salads, kids love Caseys for hotdogs, hon. mention Cosmic Rays, good variety

Epcot, Sunshine Seasons in the Land, enough variety to suit most pallets, food is good, not real crazy about any of the other guick service places at Epcot, but in all fairness, havent tried that many in WS. Feel like Germany would be good and heard good things about Moroccos QS

HS, Starring Rolls Cafe, only had pastries, but sandwiches always look tasty.
Again, like Epcot, not eaten at other counter service places

AK, definitely a family fave is Flame Tree BBQ. We live in NC, BBQ is like a staple, and we really like the taste of FT. Its different than NC, so that may be what draws us here. Cant say much about other CS places, but have heard Yak and Yeti CS is good.

They are definitely not the same. We like Cosmic Ray's (if that's the one in tomorrow land by the grand prix) and Flame Tree for sure. We always eat at these 2. Cosmic Ray's has a ton of choices from chicken or burgers to BBQ. There is something for everyone.

When it comes to counter service locations at the resorts the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary is a great one to eat at, because their menu is more upscail then the typical counter service location. Basically they have more then just Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs and etc.

Agreed that they're definitely not the same. One of the standouts to me is Gasparilla Grill and Games - it's probably the only CS location where you can get lobster (there is a salad with lobster, and lobster mac n' cheese).

Even a basic burger can be very different from location to location. Most are the same, but, for example, Beaches & Cream has a fantastic beef patty that the others lack. And then the toppings can differ. At some, for example, you can get a burger with fresh avocado on it. Look around at the topping bars, too (at the locations that have them). Some have mushrooms, grilled onions, and other delectables to add to your burger.
