CS and TS meals that can be shared

We are going on the DDP and while my family will be on the plan my inlaws will be paying OOP....Also when we dine out at home we often share meals, as do our kids....so what in your experience are CS meals and TS meals that can be easily shared to get more mileage out of our credits? Not trying to "cheat" the system, but don't want to be wasteful either.

Adults can share adult meals, kids can share kid meals, and kid's can eat off of your ordered meal. Sharing is fine. Heck, at counter service, my DS decided he didn't like the kids meal he ordered. I ate it and gave him my meal. We switched.

The only restrictions would be buffets. You can't share at buffets in pretty much any restaurant in the "real world". Disney would be no different. You'd have to use the credit required for each person seated. If you are with folks not on the DDP, they will recieve a seperate bill. Just let your server know.

Maybe post a list of the restaurants you are interested in, then folks can give you an idea of recent portions.

I thought CS at Wolfgang Puck's Express at DTD had huge portions of pasta and pizza/flatbread specialties that could easily be shared.

Really depends on your idea of an appropriate portion. Our own family disagrees on the definition.

There are alot of foodie pictures on the dining review thread. That might help you make some decisions.

We really found the DDP to be a fairly good to large amount of food. The desserts are what put us over the edge!

A good rule of thumb for what's unquestionably allowed with regard to sharing is that as long as every child is ordering a child meal, you can share whatever you like (i.e., the adults don't all have to order a meal -- they can share, either from the adult meal or from the child meal, with anyone at the table).

We were 3 adults and 2 children. We often ordered in a way that did correspond to our KTTW card, but sometimes we did not. We never, at any restaurant we dined at, were questioned or dis-allowed to order meals and share them. These locations included 50's PT Cafe, Le Cellier and WP Cafe.

Yes: Children under 3 can eat off a parent's skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe. The only scenarios where there have been any reports of enforcement interfering with sharing is with children between 3 and 9 years old on the Dining Plan, who had not ordered their own meals.

The Sampler from the Asian section of the Pepper Market was HUGE! It was easily enough for two large meals if not more. A big thumbs up for this dish.

Just for clarification I was thinking the following scenerio was allowed, but we are ordering no kids meals. At Pecos Bills we will order the following for our family of 2 Adults and 2 kids:

One Double Cheese Burger-1adult credit
One Pulled Pork Sandwich meal-1adult credit
One order chili cheese fries-either 1 snack credit or OOP
One extra drink-OOP

Now we are not ordering any kids meals and we are all sharing. Are you saying this isn't legal pursuant to disney rules? I thought this was allowed.

Whether it is permitted or not depends what you'll end up doing with "the other two" meal entitlements. The rules require that they be used for child meals. Disney doesn't have an airtight mechanism for ensuring that that is what you're going to do with them, so you could encounter a situation where they won't even allow you to do as you suggest. However, this ends up taking us towards a path which the moderators have directed discussions not go:

Any questions regarding the use of the plan that are not answered specifically in the WDW Dining Brochure cannot be accurately answered on these boards and should be addressed to WDW Dining. Interpretation of the rules has led to a tremendous amount of debate on these boards.
