crystal through airport security

This may be the weirdest question ever posed...but I have a crystal that I do not even take the trash out without...it's always in my pocket. Good luck charm, stress reliever, new age junk, call it what you want, but I can't imagine trying to fly without it...I can see the plane going down in flames and little old ladies screaming at me "Confucius say, those who leave crystal at home die by explosion in air". Will I make it through security with it? With my luck, I'm sure that the wires in my bra (I refuse to wear one without wires (my, I'm stubborn)) or the lost surgical utensils that were probably left in my gut last year from surgery will set off the metal detectors and when I get strip searched my several guards (who have to keep chainging shifts because they are laughing so hard at my nakedness), they will confiscate it and then I'll really be in a karmic pickle.

To cut a long story short (Spandau Ballet, 79, but I digress, besides, already too late), any airport security workers out there know what the procedure is on freaks with crystals?

16 more days and my OCD is kicking in! HELP!!!

You really have to empty everything out of your pockets before you walk through the metal detector, so hopefully you'll be ok without it for a minute or 2. Just dump it into the bucket to go thru xray and you'll be fine. There are definitely no rules preventing crystals on planes.

As for your underwire, I've had it beep a couple of times (out of 100+ fllights last year) so the chances are slim, but it is possible.

Best advice I can give you is to travel light and pocket-less!

Crystal carries no threat, you will be fine even with it in your pocket or purse. I only empty my pockets of change, nothing else.

Considering they allow knitting needles and corkscrews on planes, I hardly think they will blink with M&M tubes full of coin and your crystal.
