Crystal Sauce?

I bought the Margaritaville cookbook while at (where else? ) Margaritaville at Universal. Several of the recipes call for Crystal Sauce. What is this? If it is not available in my local markets, what would be a good substitute? Thank you.

Crystal is a variety of hot rep pepper sauce. Akin to louisianna hot sauce, or the like, any red hot pepper sauce is substitutable. Crysatl is my favorite variety too

Looks like we may have the beginings of a phlocking here ! Crystals is my hot sauce of choice. I find it has better flavor than tabasco or Texas Pete. I you find any recipies that are really outstanding let us know

i think she was refering to Jimmy Buffet shows,,, if so nope i never get to see jimmy,, dw dislikes his music,, so i am now a closet parrot head,, i only get to phlock on line..lol

OH. Of course, silly me. I was thinking hot sauce shows ! Have not been to a buffet show in several years. He is big here in Cincinnati. Used to be that he did 4-5 shows in a row here since he sold out so quikly he would add shows as they sold out. Now, he only comes to town for one. He'll be here in August, but I do not have tickets.
