How "fast" is the Crystal Palace buffet ? I am looking for a fast place to eat with something to satisfy picky kids while giving adults variety from fast food. Do you just go in and go straight to the buffet ? Or do you sit down and wait for someone to take drink orders and wait to be "sent" to the buffet ?

You sit down and wait for someone to take drink orders and wait to be "sent" to the buffet. The time depends on your server, but we found the food to be on the higher end of character meal offerings...at least at lunch. It is also oriented toward kids and adults so you should not have problems with a picky eater unless their just not hungry.

It is on our list this year but it is table service, so you should understand by nature it will not be as fast as counter service.

I agree with the above poster and wanted to add that my kids continue to request CP. It's absolutely their favorite character meal, and they love that ice cream bar.

Our kids continue to request to eat at CP also. My DD choose to eat her birthday dinner there and my DS choose to eat his birthday breakfast there.

Also if you want to make sure all the characters get to your table, don't be in a hurry. Sometimes it takes a while for all of them to get to your specific table.

I would not consider it Fast because of getting seated- getting drink orders, character interactions/ parade and the buffet line I thoght moved pretty slow but I guedd that depends on how crowded it is! Definately worth it!

If the kids are old enough to go up to the buffet by themselves, let them go while you wait for the server to get your drink orders.

Just back from a week trip - we at at CP twice, Chef Mickey's once, and 1900 Park Fare another time. CP was great because we didn't have to leave the park. Chef Mickey's was LOUD and wild, but had the best variety at the dessert bar. 1900 Park Fare offered characters which speak - which was fun after being with the others who didn't talk. Food was similar at all places but probably best at CP and CM.
