Crystal Palace???

I was thinking of going to Crystal Palace for the buffet dinner. Is it any good? What are you thoughts on it??? I'm trying to figure out all my ADR's so I can call tomorrow. This is what I have so far:

Cinderella's Royal Table---Dinner
Le Cellier---Dinner
Yak & Yeti---Dinner
Narcoossee's---Dinner (just me & DH for our Anniv.!!! )
Mama Melrose---Dinner
1900 Park Fare---Breakfast
Crystal Palace---Dinner

Man, it's all dinners! We'll be having breakfast in our DVC room most mornings.

Please give me any thoughts or feedback!

We eat there every trip. I dread the day when my daughter decides she's too old for the Pooh characters since I like them myself.

There is a wide variety of food; several salad, vegetable and meat selections. The food offered does not seem to vary that much. There is almost always carved prime rib and turkey, a salmon dish, a roasted chicken dish and pork adobo. From memory there is usually key lime pie, a flan, applie pie(?) and sundae bar at the kids buffet for dessert.

The building is very nice. The atmosphere can be a little noisy with the characters moving around meeting guests. That's to be expected. In a glass half full way, I look at this as the sound of kids having fun.

My only complaint about the restaurant is that the wait between check-in and seating can be long (15-25 minutes may not seem long but can be with hungry, young kids). The traffic and view outside are nice and, based on a recent post, the wait may not be unusual.

we dont care if we are to old for Pooh and company......the food and the place is excellent.....The prime rib is so tender and teh salmon is out of this world.....and I am fussy about my fish intake.....the rest of the buffet is good for everyone .....can hardly wait to go back

Crystal Palace is the ONLY restaurant that I have gone to on every trip to Disney - even the ones back in the '80's when I was just a kid! It's a must do every time!

CP is one of the places we have to eat at every trip. A good variety of food and wehave always been happy with the quality. Plus...you are never too old for Pooh & friends

It is a WONDERFUL place to eat. The food is good, decor beautiful, and characters... loveable!

Dinner was fabulous! Huge selection! Zinfandel salad dressing is amazing!

While your waiting to be seated, take photos on the porch with the castle in the background. Beautiful!!

Should the fireworks be early (like in the winter months) most people will run out on to the porch to watch them in the middle of dinner. We had a window seat and were able to watch them from inside the restaurant. We were so into the meal, we didn't want to get up!

PS bring a ziplock and take some cookies for later for the kids. They are delish!

On another note, I'm not fond of Mama Melrose. Kinda like Olive Garden. We're Italian, DH was born in Italy, did not enjoy eating "fake" italian food.

I ditto all theothers Cp is my favorite. The decor is beautiful, the food is out of this world and who doesn't love Pooh!!

We love Crystal Palace, in fact we're going at Christmas and eating there 3 times.

IMHOP Crystal Palace's breakfast is better than the dinner, but the dinner is really good. 1900 parkfare breakfast is ok (just ok), and not as good as Crystal Palace, I know you probably want to be in the park in the evening and at a resort in the morning but I would really reccomend trying Crystal Palace for Breakfast at least once.

I don't even like Pooh, but the CP dinner was great. I even had my picture taken with Pooh!!

there were racks in the Middle Ages reserved for people who didn't like Pooh. Did the picture convert you?

I'm very excited to try CP for breakfast. We have ADR's at 8:05am. I can't wait to see a nearly deserted main street. It's our last day (flight at 5pm), so I think that'd be a magical last day.
