Crystal Palace - Reservation for 10:25 AM

My family has a morning reservation for CP at 10:25. Looking at the breakfast / lunch hours, lunch starts at 10:45. We have never eaten there.

Some family wants breakfast and others want lunch.

How is the buffet done with the change over between breakfast and lunch? Do they leave both out for a while?

At Tusker House they moved a lot of the leftover breakfast items to the middle and started putting out fresh lunch food

Does this happen promptly at 10:45 ?

Last August, we had the same time reserved. Even when they sat us, they were moving all the breakfast items to one side ... but they roped off the other side for lunch. My DD only wanted a cookie from the lunch dessert side. No go. So although sometimes it works out that you can get both - don’t count on it and you won’t be disappointed. On the flip side, it wasn’t that busy in the restaurant so plenty of time with the characters.

The worst was Grand Floridian a few years ago. Since there is no lunch, they just stopped replenishing the buffet after 10. Very limited food left by 10:45 which was our seating!

I want to say we had a 10:45 reservation and it had already happened by our first trip to the buffet. They weren't putting out any more fresh breakfast food.

There seemed to be plenty of breakfast food — they were basically combining both sides into one. So they probably weren’t going to restock much after that. They still had the omelet counter going. We enjoyed the food — I just hadn’t encountered the “roping off” procedure before. Felt they were rushing us out. That was well before 11.

I want to add I still prefer the later breakfast time slot. We aren’t early morning eaters. We can get a lot of rides in at opening. Have that 10:30 meal, and then book fast passes for the lunch/afternoon crowded time.
