This will be my dd(7)'s first trip to WDW. Two of our park days will be before rope drop at MK. Our second full MK day is dd's bday, and we have an 8:00 appt. at BBB. On our first full MK day, we have an 8:05 CP ADR. Would you keep the pre-park ADR for the benefit of being in the park before open (even though we'll have this on our second day), or would you cancel in order to experience the Welcome Show?

I would keep the pre-opening ADR. MK has been swamped every morning because of A&E and there's no way I'd want to be stuck in that crowd.

I would definitely keep your ADR. We loved our experience at CP for breakfast. It was so nice arriving a little earlier than our ADR so we could stroll around Main Street without hoards of people and get some good pictures taken. It's so magical when there's isn't such a huge crowd around, and as the other poster mentioned, it would keep you out of the throngs of people waiting behind the gates for the A & E meet-n-greet. While the Welcome Show is cute, it's not on the top of our list to see. You won't miss anything by not seeing it, but could have a better experience by keeping your reservation, in my opinion.

There is nothing more magical than having Main Street all to yourselves. Keep CP.

Without a doubt keep the ADR! Like others said you will have the park almost to yourself and you will be ahead of the A&E crowd.
