crystal palace or Tonys Grand Gathering Breakfast

Wondered if someone can recommend which character breakfast we should attend. Read alot about Crystal but not much about tonys. Today is my first time using the dis forum. Hope I am doing this right. Also, what do you think about the Illuminations Grand Gathering experience. Read mixed reviews. Is it worth 2 credits with DDP? Thanks!

I would highly reccomend Tony's Grand Gathering breakfast. The character interaction is wonderful. Tony greets each table and than the other characters come around. They have a dance time for the kids, announce celebrations and you also get some one on one time with the mouse before you leave. The food is pre-plated breakfast fare and they will bring you out anything that you would like more of.

Tony's Grand Gathering Breakfast was a blast. When we went we had a lot of time with the characters, they came around and took the kids out to dance with them. At the end we had photo's with mickey and the food was good I thought. I also prefer family style service over buffets because we usually have 5 young children and a handicap adult who needs help at the buffet.
Although I have to add you really can't beat the puffed up French Toast Sticks at Crystal Palace.

We did the Illuminations GG dinner two years ago and it was disgusting. It was supposed to be an international theme but ended up being a hodge podge of mismatched foods that should never share space on the same plate. And the food was just bad.

The entertainment was forced and uncomfortable. We seriously wondered if the CM who normally served as emcee had fallen ill and had to be hastily replaced.

The desserts were tasty but the spot designated for viewing was partially obstructed by trees.

A regrettable use of two ts credits.
