Crystal Palace Lunch Problem 6/18?

A friend and I had an ADR for 11:50am today for lunch at Crystal Palace. When we got there, the porch was jammed. We made our way to the check-in window and were told they were closed and did not have a reopening time, we could wait if we wanted. We looked in, everything was dark, no food was on the buffet. Considering the number of people already there, we decided to forget it. We noticed at City Hall there was a sign out saying no ADR's were available at any restaurant, to go to counter service. We decided to head to a resort, we ended up at OKW at Olivia's.

Anyone have any info on what happened?

How disapointing! I'm sure lots of little kids were upset, too. I suprised they didn't do something "more" for the folks with ads's. (Like let you still meet the characters.)

That surprises me too, that they didn't do something more. This happened to us at LeCellier on our October 2007 trip. They placed us all at other Epcot restaurants, and we literally had our pick of where to go (during F&W when Epcot was 'sold out')

That sounds really wierd why they would not open up the restaurants. I sure hope nothing like that happens when we go down there next week!

They did set up a meet and greet with the characters inside and gave free cookies to the kids.
