Crystal Palace (kids menu question)

We have never been to a character meal before and figured we would go hog wild and try one this next trip.

For me in looking at things the Liberty Tree seems to match my family the best. Co-workers keep telling my wife the Crystal Palace is the place to go hands down. In reading reviews I can't really tell how it works.

Do the kids eat from a different buffet than the adults? Or is there just a kid section that they can choose from that may have more kid friendly type foods?

I ask because my 7 year old and 9 year old will be sticking me with a fork if I have all kinds of great selections on my plate and they have mac and cheese and chicken fingers as their only option.

Can the kids eat anything or only the kid foods?

Originally I picked the Liberty Tree because my kids love turkey and ham etc.....

Any insight would be great!

I would go with Crystal Palace. It was my favorite meal during our trip last month and my kids agree.

The buffet is for everyone. Anyone can eat anything. There is a small section with foods that tend to be more appealing to picky kids. It has chicken fingers, mac & cheese, hotdogs, PB&J, etc. If your kids prefer "good" food, they don't have to choose anything from the kid's area.

thank you very much. I kind of assumed so but I didn't want to get
a fork in the knee cap either.

:teeth:

We had lunch at CP last year and we also had dinner at LTT, I thought CP had much better food than LTT. My 3 year old didn't like anything on the kids buffet so she had a plate full of grilled salmon, fruit and pizza from the regular buffet.

We always enjoy Crystal Palace. Your kids will be happy with it. The food is good, and they can eat anything on the buffet. CP and Chef Mickey's are both a must do on our trips, otherwise DS6 would be searching for a fork too!!! LOL

It's actually a very good way to see the characters, get the personal interaction, autographs and pics without the LOOOOONG lines!! Enjoy!!

FWIW, I'm pretty sure that's the case for all of the buffets -- the kids can eat from the adults' portion as well as the section designed to appeal to nonadventurous children. (And you can eat from the kids' sections if you see something there you'd want!)

My kids loved the Crystal Palace and have asked to go back -- Teppanyaki and the Coral Reef were the only other 2 'repeat' requests they had :)

We loved Crystal Palace and are returning there in July. As many posters have explained, part of the good thing about Disney buffets is that kids and adults can eat whatever they want--no limitations based on kids' menu or adult menu.
