Hi All,

So I've been working on my ADR's for myself and dd12 and I just booked Crystal Palace for dinner. We wanted to see the Pooh characters. Can anyone tell me about their experience? How much was it pp? Did you find it to be worth it? Character interaction? Any info you can give would be appreciated :goodvibes

TIA
Jen

We have gone both times we have gone to Disney and loved it! Its now one of our traditions. I loved the food and the characters. We met Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore adn Tigger. They all signed out books and we got pics with them. Tigger was a hoot and both of my girls loved him. Every 20 minutes or so they do a little parade around the restaurant that the kids can all join in. Its cute and we had a great time. If I can figure out how to post pics on here I will.

Have a GREAT trip! :goodvibes

Thanks for responding, that sounds soo fun. Please do post pics if you can. We are down to 47 days, our first mother daughter trip :goodvibes Can't wait!

We *loved* Crystal Palace and would ABSOLUTELY do it again. In fact, I'm in the early stages of planning our next trip and it's on the top of the list for character meals. We ate there for breakfast last time; this time I think we'll do it for dinner on our first night.

I don't remember the price, but I do recall that it was worth it.

It was our anniversary so they brought us cupcakes and announced to the restaurant and made us kiss! It was fun and the girls got a kick out of it.

If your children like the Pooh characters, Crystal Palace is the perfect place. It's a basic character buffet, but the food is serviceable and the atmopshere is fun. The character interaction is among the best on property.

Thanks guys :goodvibes

@CathieArms- Thanks for the response. I just want to make sure my dd will have a good time. So If I'm not mistaken I read that they cook the food in a way you can see it?? At least that's what I thought I read on the WDW website :confused3

@ graciesmom77 thanks for posting pics, your girls are precious. I showed my dd the pics and she's really looking foward to it.

Thanks,
Jen

Crystal Palace has been our only character dinner thus far. In 2009 we tried this even though our girls were 10 and 13 and a little reluctant. The buffet was great and we have tons of pics with Tigger, Pooh and Piglet. I would do this again if my kids would agree....but they think they are "too old". A must do with little kids......Not too intense and the food was good for adults.

@ Graciesmom77 - Those photos are great. :thumbsup2

I am a huge Pooh fan and get very excited when I see him. I think that Crystals Palace for our trip in December is a must. I have read a few reports that the food is not the best (neither the worst) but just to be able to get so up close to Pooh and friends would make our trip all the worthwhile.

Yea, I know that with a buffet you can't really expect a gourmet meal but these are dining experiences and you have to factor in the character interaction.I think I have read more positive than negative reviews. My dd is 12 and agreed to try CP however she won't do any princess type things. I figure this is it for her with anything kind of "kiddish" So I am soo looking foward to it.:)

Jen - a good friend and her family go to Crystal Palace every trip (they are DVC, so those trips are frequent). It is definitely a tradition for them.

GraciesMom - your girls are adorable! Did you make their shirts?

Your little girls are beautiful, Graciesmom. :)

We've had dinner there a few times and enjoyed both the food and the service. It's a gorgeous restaurant; even the restrooms look lovely. If you have dinner there, you don't have to worry about rushing there from a resort to see Spectro and the fireworks.

Thank you everyone :goodvibes

Is there any other character dining or dining experience that you would recommend for a 12 yo girl?, excluding the princesses, lol.

TIA
Jen

Thanks everyone! I love my girls!

I think all character meals are fun. Chef Mickeys is a must. We love seeing all the "regulars" like Mickey and Minnie. The food is pretty good too, lots of selection.

I can't wait to go back!

I didn't make the shirts, we got them at Walmart for like 5 bucks before we left! To expensive to buy to much at the parks, so I buy things before we leave, hide it from the girls and suprise them in the morning before we leave for the parks for the day. So far it as worked great!
