Crystal Palace - entry to park time?

I am certainly not doubting Mr Romance's previous experiences, but from my own experience and those of many PPs, I don't think that it is typical. I mean, think of the logistics. How many CMs would they need in order to escort every single party from the park entrance to the restaurant from 7:45 to 9 am? Granted that it is not a long walk to CP or CRT. But it is a bit of a haul to H&V, Tusker House and Akershus. It just wouldn't be practical.

We were escorted at Tusker house, but I think the cm was angry at my for bypassing her to get to our ADR prior to opening. I went to guest services because she would not let us in for a ADR that was 5 min before park opening. Guest services called and got us a earlier time and let us in. The CM followed us with a scowl all the way to the restaurant!

We just had a pre-park opening breakfast at CP in late June. We were not escorted to the restaurant.

We had a pre-park opening breakfast at H&V last year and they made us wait at the turnstiles, checked our ressies on a tablet and then let us all in at an appointed time. As we walked toward Mickey's hat, there was a CM in the middle of the street pointing people toward H&V. He wasn't escorting anyone, but he was certainly making sure everyone was heading to H&V

I can understand making sure people have a ADR, and even pointing people along the way. It makes sense. I think they are generally understanding as to why people like to get in the park for a early ADR.

We have reservations at 8:10 for CP coming up. How early can you get in? Also what time does the monorail start running? Thanks for letting me hijack your thread OP!

Not sure what time they start but we had a early chef Mickey ADR and tried the monorail. We were very late because they do safety checks. I would suggest a bus to MK. The people in the monorail said it happens all the time, we were nervous we would loose our chance! I think we had a 8:00 time.

They will let you in. You just need to have your reservation # so they can look for it on a list. When we went she didn't even check & let us in but better to be prepared. It is the far left entrance to park before park opening.

If we have an 8:40 reservation and the park opens at 8 tomorrow, will they let us in 5 mins before rope drop? Really want to take some photos.

You have pulled up a very old thread, and park opening procedures at MK have changed completely.

Since it is now "tomorrow," I assume you found your answer by experience.
