Thinking about doing the Character Breakfast at Crystal Palace. Can anyone throw me some info on how much fun it was? Thanks!! :yay:

We ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast on August 6th! My kids had a great time. The characters were very attentive and were not rushed at all. My 4 year old daughter had a great time marching behind Pooh during the parade around the restaurant. The food was also very good. We all really enjoyed it! It was our first time and we would go back for sure! :)

I know you asked about breakfast but I will just add what I experienced last week with the characters during dinner at a 5:30 ADR. They seemed to have two of the four working each side of the room since the Crystal Palace is broken into a left side and a right side with the entrance and buffet in the middle. We did not feel rushed but it took 15 minutes after we were done eating to have Tigger and Pooh make their way to our table. This must happen fairly frequently because the waitress came over realizing we were done and asked who we were waiting for. Overall I would say the food was fair.

It's your typical Character Buffet. I don't think that it's fair to say that character interaction is any better or worse at any of them buffets because just like service it's all dependant on whom you get. Having said that we visit Disney often and this is my DD's favorite restaurant.

Before I learned this about her I was going over my dining reservations and she said to me "no palace?" so I started the daily call to Disney Dining and secured the dining prize of an ADR for CRT and when I triumphantly gave her this news I was informed she meant the CRYSTAL PALACE!

The Characters do a parade with the kids and the restaurant itself is very pretty it's bright and airy and there are beautiful topiaries of the 100 Acre Wood Gang.

Crystal Palace is a must on my kids' list. They love it. The food is pretty good. Hubby loves it and so do my picky eaters. ;) First time we went we had what I would call 'average' interaction. A little bit of time from each character--nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about. That was w/ a 1ish pm lunch reservation. Second time we went for breakfast and made the first res of the morning. A friend told me to do this so we could get in the park before it opens and get a nice pic of us in front of the castle w/ nobody behind us. Having the first reservation slot, the characters had lots of time to interact and my oldest son absolutely loved it. It was one of the highlights of his trip, except for when Goofy burped (very loudly!) :rotfl: on his head at Chef Mickey's!

We went twice on our last trip, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Good meal both times and a good variety of food.

I made an 8:20 a.m. ADR on a day a day the MK opened at 9:00. By 8:55 everyone was done with their food and meeting the characters. My husband headed off to the castle with my 3 year old daughter while by sons and I headed for Big Thunder Mountain. We made it for the second train out. No body had reached the back of the park yet.

I think it's the best breakfast on property. I've always had good service and character interaction there, and the food is wonderful. If you go make sure you try the puffed French toast, breakfast lasagna, and breakfast pizza.

We have ADR's here for 9/25 what is the menu (buffet) like? I tried looking at the menu on another site and it isn't real helpful.

We love the Crystal Palace!! We did the character breakfast on our last trip with a group of ten. We were 4 adults and the rest teenagers. The characters spend a lot of time at the tables for pictures. They have a parade and it is lots of fun. What was really cool is that we got the earliest time and you are only allowed into the Magic Kingdom if you have the reservation so it was just our group walking down Main Street, that was a really cool feeling. So if you go I recommend getting a reservation for before the park opens!
Enjoy it!

CP is my fave, but that has a lot to do with the fact that Pooh is also my fave character. We have eaten breakfast there on both our trips, and plan to make it a tradition for our future trips. On our last time there, we were actually celebrating our anniversary the morning that we ate CP, and we received a Magical Moments certificate signed by Pooh and the gang. I was thrilled, and it really made my day!!

We love it and go there for breakfast every trip-enjoy! We love the Pooh puffed toast(something like that).

The selection is very large with many traditional breakfast choices both hot and cold, tons of fresh fruit, some baked goods like mini muffins, and a few very special items liked the amazing Puff French Toast and the breakfast lasanga...My kids love the characters on the waffels.

We ate breakfast at the Crystal Palace last Friday morning.

The food was OK...the puffed french toast was good but there was nothing that really stood out.

We did not have a good experience with the character interaction. Tigger was on our side of the room when we sat down. Our server said he was 4 tables away from seeing us so to wait to go to the buffet. We then waited 20 minutes and he still wasn't there. Finally, we saw Tigger...went to the buffet, came back and waited over an hour for the other characters.

We thought the restaurant was very pretty and my daughter was really hoping to see Eeyore which she finally did (after we had been there over 1 1/2 hours). We've always had a good experience with other character meals so I figure we just got one that didn't turn out so well. What can you do. We still enjoyed it and my daughter had fun. That's what it's all about.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I like the idea of going early. That was good advice. I realize there is no perfect place and things can seem to go a little wrong but overall it really sounds like this place is where I want to go. Again, Thanks so much to everyone!! wish me luck on reservations.....

We were there (3 adults) back in November. It was one of the best meals, best character interaction, and one of the highlights of our trip.

The food was really good; and the characters were great to us (and like I said we were 3 adults - no kids). It was also entertaining to see the kids and the characters have a parade through the restaurant. Definitely a must do!

Thanks again for all the advice. I booked my ressie for 9:20 in the morning. It was the earliest they had on the day I was going. I see where you say it's great when you can go early right before the park opens. Is it still ok for this time slot? I realize people will be entering the park but it was the best I could get. Thanks again!!

I cannot comment on whether you have a good time or not, but I can tell you that if you keep trying you might get an earlier ADR like you want. I have changed a few reservations here and there and most have worked after a few calls.
