Crystal Palace - change to dinner from lunch & timing with Spectro if we do?

We currently have a lunch reservation for CP...I am wondering if we should switch it to dinner. Is dinner better? We have only eaten here for breakfast and lunch. I booked an ADR for lunch because I didn't want to miss Spectromagic. Now I am wondering if we should switch to an early dinner. Spectro is showing at 7:00 p.m. and we cannot miss it...going with two families who have never seen it.

So...

Should we switch to dinner from lunch and if so, what time should we try for so we do not miss getting a good watching spot for Spectromagic?

I wouldn't alter my touring plant solely to have dinner at Crystal Palace. Both lunch and dinner are very good.

lunch and dinner at CP are not greatly different. There are a few more items at dinner.

You don't mention what time your ADR is. We generally watch Spectro at the end of the route near pecos Bills and before you cross the parade path to get to Splash Mountain. The crossing there is generally held open until after the parade start time and the parade doesn't arrive until 20 minutes or so later. It is possible to get to this position from CP by walking through Adventureland. For this to work your ADR would have to be no later than 5:45 though. CP takes awhile to see all of the characters.
