Crystal Palace Breakfast

I have been to Disney several times but never to the Crystal Palace. It's always been on my list and with an upcoming trip in August I finally got a PPO breakfast. But I'm wondering, is breakfast the best meal to have there food-wise? It's an adult trip so I'm not overly concerned with characters, mostly with food. Thanks!

Crystal Palace is really all about the characters, especially breakfast. We have almost always done PPO on our first day there. Walking down an almost empty Main Street and seeing the Castle is, to us, the best way to start our vacation. Food wise, dinner is better; the sides and desserts are really good. Also, if you are there for a late dinner, you can get a good view of the fireworks.

For a PPO breakfast, what time is the sweet spot. I have an 8:30 on a day the park opens at 9. We're staying at Bay Lake Tower, so we can get over there early no prob. Thanks for the info!

I would get to the park before 8, they will let you walk in early with the PPO ADR. Optimally, you would want to be seated by 8:15. It depends on what your plan is for the day. You won't make RD or the opening with an 8:30. Also, last week of August shouldn't be crazy crowded like weeks 1-3. And if it's a weekday, it will be a little more relaxed. Hope this helps.

It does! Thank you!

We have only done breakfast there but love it! We are adults that go there every trip.

I prefer breakfast over lunch or dinner at CP. It's a must do for us every trip.

We do PPO breakfast there every year and it is fantastic! The breakfast lasagna is something I dream about all year. The first year, we went for the characters, but we definitely go for the food now.

Another preference for breakfast there over lunch or dinner. They are so much more expensive and the food is just buffet food. I think breakfast foods tend to hold up better on buffets than lunch and dinner, plus made to order omelettes. I love the breakfast lasagna. I like to do PPO not because of touring advantage but because it takes the time for the meal out of my park day. We had seen all of the characters twice by about 8:45 when we did an 8am PPO there, much less backed up than later seating times because they don't fill the restaurant.

If I were to do a buffet for a meal it would almost always be for breakfast, so I would also pick CP for a PPO breakfast. I would say though if you aren't really interested in the characters I don't think that I would bother going for the food. I think I would choose the Wave breakfast buffet over CP, but I am sure that is just personal choice.
