What has been your recent experiences with Crystal Palace for breakfast? I'm looking for a breakfast ADR in MK that isn't Cinderella. I will admit, half of my desire to do this is the idea of getting some naked Main Street pics on our way to breakfast.

Thoughts?

If you want an empty Main Street USA, do the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour. You will be the first guests in the park that morning. Of course if there's a delivery truck or something else that doesn't belong on the street, you won't be able to take a picture.

Not an option...our son will be too young.

Your "naked" pics of Main Street will contain quite a few backs of people also going to pre-park opening ADR's, as well as many others mugging for a "naked" Main Street.

We always plan a pre park opening ADR at Crystal Palace for this same reason. We love to get into MK before the crowd. We ate there is September and will be back next week. We enjoy the food - it's a nice variety.

Naked is relative.....compared to what Main Street will look like at 10am...........

Very good food that is always hot and plentiful. Great assortment of fresh fruits. Excellent service and fun character interaction. My daughters are in their 20's and we have ate here since they were very young. I have never had a pre-park opening breakfast as we normally make our ADR for about 10:30 AM, so I can't comment about Main Street. However, I highly recommend Crystal Palace for all reasons mentioned above.

It use to be so much nicer prior to Disney including BOG as an option before RD; I may be in the minority but I really hated to see Disney include it and would not shed a tear if they removed it (Oh how I wish). As for CP and breakfast: It's average overall with a few options that are very good (coming from me that is a compliment), I like that CP does offer a fresh omelette station as opposed to just your typical scrambled egg or pre-made egg entree offering; I personally hate pre-made eggs. I am also a big time fan of the breakfast lasagna. An early entry ADR at CP is one that I often make and have enjoyed every time.

We have been the last two summers and it's a top five must do for my family. We love the food and atmosphere. The park isn't really that empty, but it's much better than most times of the day!

If you have an 8am ADR at Crystal Palace, how long would it take to eat and meet the characters? Would you be out and able to make your way to Fantasyland before the rope drop crowd?

It is bad going at the end of breakfast, say 10:45am? Will they start changing over to lunch during the next half hour?

We did this in November and I loved it. We enjoyed the food and the characters were fun too. Our pictures aren't completely free of people, but certainly less than any other time we were in the park. We scheduled this breakfast for our Frontierland-Adventureland day and it worked perfectly. We did not beat the rope drop crowd, but most were apparently going to Fantasyland, so we had no trouble. One tip I didn't pick up before our trip was to ask for your bill as soon as you are seated. Then, when you are finished eating you can head out immediately instead of waiting to pay. This would have saved us probably 10 minutes or so. Maybe not too much, but every minute helps if you are trying to beat the rope drop crowd. It also seems like I read that anyone leaving CP will be held at an interior spot until opening. So it may not be a good option if your goal is to get to 7DMT or A&E.

We have an 8am CP res in May. We are also planning to hit some non RD necessary rides that we missed on our first trip to MK, like Jungle Cruise and Pirates, before FPs start. I'd like to get out of breakfast before rope drop, but it's not a huge rush for us. Yes, Main street is not completely empty, but it's just a fun and unique experience to be the first people in the park. I learned my lesson to check in at CP right away before taking pictures in front of the castle. The check in line gets really long if you don't head there first. Not a big deal, but makes kids a little antsy.

We previously took castle pics with NO one else on Main St in the shot. However, there was a big barrier wall around the castle and a crane sticking out. So there may never be a "perfect" pic.

I went around that time in August and they do start changing over one side of the buffet. However, they left breakfast food out on one side until everyone was finished.

Crystal Palace has become one of my faves for breakfast!

Crystal Palace pre park ADR is a must do for us! I love being able to get a pic in front of cinderella's castle without hordes of people behind us. The food there is also pretty tasty! I love the Poohs Puffed French Toast! My kids also are HUGE Tigger fans so theres never a question of whether or not we do this character meal or not, lol

So can you eat the lunch food or is that side closed off until 11:30am?

We're doing a CP at 8am for the first time. How does it work if you finish eating before rope drop? Are you allowed further into the park to get in lines?
