Crystal Palace breakfast

We have an ADR for Crystal Palace at 8:05am, MK opens at 9am. What time should we arrive at MK? Will there be any trouble getting through the gates early? What time should we be at CP for ADR and how long will it normally take to be seated? TIA

They won't let you through the gates until 745-750am. But, you can get there early enough to get through security and then wait in the breakfast adr lines (all the way to the right hand side of the entrances (atleast it was in Dec 2009). We got there a little before 7:30am.

Be sure to check in as soon as you get back to CP. I don't think many people did. We had a 815am ressie and we were seated 5th.

If you are trying to make rope drop, take care of your check very early on in the meal so you don't have to wait when you have finished eating and meeting the characters. You will just be ready to go. It took atleast 15 minutes to take care of our check (we were on the dining plan) so we missed rope drop by 5 minutes.

but my thought is to skip rope drop and go straight to the ride you want.

and definately ask for the check as soon as your server comes to ask for your drink order.
if you are on a dining plan - tell them and give them the cards.

this way you can enjoy breakfast and not worry about trying to find your server when you are ready to go.

My boys loved CP for breakfast! I felt the characters took so much time with us.

That is absolutely the best reservation. It is so awesome to walk down Main Street and get pictures with hardly anyone else in it. You'll have no trouble getting in. Enjoy!

I agree with the PP... get there early enough to get through security before they start letting people in. I can't tell you how magical it was to walk down Main Street without hardly anyone there. Not to mention the pictures you can get.

Ask for your check at the beginning of the meal so it is out of the way. Our server got so busy that it took her a while to get back around to us.

The food was ok, but the characters were great. We asked Tigger how high he could bounce, and he took a huge jump for us. The kids love it.

I agree with previous posters.....the breakfast ADRs are awesome. We have done CP every trip in the past, and loved it. This time my DD is a bit older and wanted something different
So this trip we are doing the Tusker House with Goofy and the gang.

There is a special line for am ADRS at the gate. You really don't have to get there THAT early, they only let you in 15 min or so early and they scatter the dining times just enought to keep the flow going. You'll have a great time.

We did the 805 at CP on our last trip. Since it was just DH & I, we were more concerned with food than the characters. We hadn't seen one of the characters and it was getting close to 9:00, so we just left. We headed directly to the bridge to Adventureland and were able to follow the rope through AL, the passageway to Frontierland and were able to walk up and get on the first train of Big Thunder Mountain. What an awesome way to start the day! We then walked back down Main Street and checked in for our Keys to the Kingdom tour at 9:30.
