I was wondering if anyone can tell me about booking CP for breakfast that enable you to walk down Main Street before the park opens. I see pics people have taken and wonder how early you can book reservations for am. Any help would be appreciated. Almost time to start booking for Dec. trip. You experts generally know more than many of the CM I talk to. :thumbsup2 Thanks

We booked CP for the first thing in the morning (the Character Breakfast is awesome; my favorite!). You do have an opportunity to walk around Main Street, look at the castle, soak in the magic and take some amazing pictures!

If you can't tell I think it was amazing :thumbsup2

Can you tell me what time we should make the reservation for? We are early risers so the earlier the better.

I believe 8:05 is the earliest ADR. :upsidedow

I think they start letting early ADR's in at 8 AM, so as long as your ADR is before...8:30 or so, they'll probably let you in at 8 (they let us in at 8 for an 8:25 ADR once).

Early ADR's at the MK are so nice b/c the CM's don't escort you to the restaurant or pressure you to hurry up and check in. You can take all the time you want to get pics, wander around the castle and to the entrances of the different lands.

We did an early breakfast at MGM recently, and it wasn't at all like the MK. There were a bunch of CM's hurrying you into the restaurant. Not nearly as nice as the MK...

Absolutely one of my favorite things to do at WDW! The earliest ressie you can get is 8:05. They will let you in the park right at 8:00, so there's not much time to leisurely stroll down Main Street if you want the earliest time. Getting one of the first spots is wonderful because the food is very fresh, and there aren't as many diners, so the character interaction is wonderful.

When we do this, we are done with breakfast about 8:50, and that's when the real benefit starts:

We have left this restaurant and gone either to the rope drop at Adventureland or Fantasyland. When we were at the Adventureland drop, we were the first ones escorted back to Splash Mt., and got special recognition as the first family (a certificate and a free picture from the ride). We also got escorted up the exit ramp at Big Thunder Mountain, and they put us on very quickly, because waiting for the picture took a few minutes. This was a great experience!

When we went to Fantasyland, we were able to do the entire section and get fastpasses for Space Mountain all in the first one hour in the park. To me, this was totally worth getting up early and paying for the breakfast at Crystal Palace.

Going back in February, and will do this again. :)

We have reservations for July 11th for CP at 8:15!! So excited!! With dsd13, ds4, and ds1(well, 23 months) I figure it will be about 40 minutes for breakfast and character visits and we will head to fantasyland! The person I made the reservations with said to be at the front gate around 7:45. I cant wait! Less than a month now!

We would love to do this and arrive really early - but we will be staying off site - will that still be possible??? What time can you begin parking and using the monorail??

Oooh, what a great idea...I just called and changed our ressie for Crystal Palace to 8:05...

We made a reservation for 8:15am. I figured if we were allowed to enter at 8:00am we could take some awesome pictures before hand. :D

Just in case you didnt' think of this...Make sure you don't book the 8:05 ressie on a AM EMH day. Otherwise, the park will open at 8 for everyone.:thumbsup2

I would also plan to arrive around 7:45 am. We were prepared to be let in for 8:00am for our 8:05 ressie but they were letting people through at 7:50 when we arrived.

It was wonderful Main Street just about empty. Breakfast was wonderful and we finished right for 9:00 when the park was opening.

Enjoy!

oh no! More decisonss to make - earliest reservation then time for rope drop, or a little bit later and more time to wander around ??? There's too many choices!

We stayed on site and still drove to the TTC. We had reservations for 8:10 at CP and we arrived at the TTC around 7:00ish. I know some people have said the express monorail directly to the MK was running at that time when they went, but that morning, I asked a CM at the ramp and he said the express monorail wasn't running until approximately 7:45. He suggested we take the resort monorail which begins its runs much earlier than the express.

I'll definitely have to check to make sure the monorails are running.

And I did make sure I booked on a day with no emh!!

Does anyone know if they do the opening act (the show and singing at the train) every morning before MK opens? Thanks for info.:goodvibes

Got a question....obviously. On 12/13, DH & I are going to spend the day at MK, have ressies for dinner at LT at 4:30, and tickets for MVMCP. (My dh will have turned back into a pumpkin long before the party's over but he'll just have to deal with it...:coffee: ). To make the day even longer, there are morning EMH that day too. I'd like to eat bfast at CP but am not sure what the best time will be. Should we wait until a.m. EMH are over? I know this is a matter of opinion but your opinions will certainly be helpful. Thanks.
