Crystal Palace ADR

I had made ADR for the Crystal Palace at 8 in the morning. The guy on the phone told me that if I am taking the bus, I will never make it in time?? I heard somewhere that the busses start running early for breakfast. I could be wrong. Wondering if anyone has an idea??

That's odd. Why would he tell you that you wouldn't make it? Busses do run early for breakfast. It's very important to remember to allow yourself at least an hour travel time. Remember you have to wait for your bus to pick you up. If your lucky you won't have to wait too long. We had 8:05 ressies for Crystal Palace a few weeks ago and we took the bus from the Wilderness Lodge no problem. Don't sweat it. If you find yourself really pushing it time wise, take a cab to MK. It won't be too much. I believe we paid $5.00 to 6.00 to get from WL to CR.

Please note that you cannot take a taxi to the MK entrance. Only Disney buses are allowed near the entrance. You can take a taxi to the Contemporary and walk (about 7 minutes) to the MK. Or you can take a taxi to the TTC and boat or monorail over.
ALSO......DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER listen to tranportation info from anyone not wearing the purple pants of the Disney bus drivers. Disney has early morning breakfast buses every day from all their resorts to the various breakfasts throughout WDW. Bus service to the MK area starts as early as 6:30am daily. Be at your resort bus stop about 45 minutes before your reservation. This will give you extra time in case you just miss a bus.

I'm not sure what time of year you are going or if that matters...I know that when we were there last July we had no problem getting to MK for our 8 a.m CP adr. We got to the park at about 7:30 using Disney transportation from POFQ.

We've done this twice at CP with no problem. You shouldn't need to take a taxi, just be at the bus stop around 7 or 7:15 and you'll be at the MK gates before they start letting people in with ADR's. They don't let anyone in until 8:00 on the dot, but the restaurants are well aware of this of course. We do several character breakfasts before the park opens and have never had any problem.

Make sure you head out early. You do NOT want to miss the early bus. Also, avoid the boat from WL to MK. Along with several other families, we took the advice of a concierge CM at WL and lined up early for what we thought was an early boat to the Contemporary (where we could walk or take the monorail to the MK). Well, the boat evidently doesn't start to run until 8 am. Hmmm...We were late for our ressie, but the CM's at CP were forgiving. Thank goodness.

I was told yesterday when making a 7:30 ADR for Chef Mickey that the transportation would not be running until 8:00. Kind of surprised me, but we are driving so it doesn't matter anyway.

And I would guess that she was not wearing purple pants, but since it was over the phone I can't be sure

If you're driving, doublecheck when the parking lot will open. You dont' want to drive, only to get stuck sitting on the road outside a closed parking lot when your ADR time is slipping by........

ACK, sorry. My error for not reading closely enough. Chef Mickey's, you'll be fine. I meant to point out the problem for people driving to the PARKS not the RESORTS.
