Crystal Palace @9:15? Pros & cons?

I've reserved the CP at 9:15 b/c I think it would be really cool to have our kids (4yo, 7yo) walk down Main Street with no crowds, etc....so my questions are....

BTW - on this particular day opening time is at 9am.

1) If our reservation is at 9:15 what time will the CM let us in the gate? 8:45? Will we get in early at all?
2) My kids care more about donald & goofy than winnie the pooh, so i'm wondering would the cool factor of getting in the park 15 minutes early and walking up main street overcome the fact that I'll prob have to cancel my cape may cafe breakfast with donald & goofy?
3) If we do get in at 8:45, is there an opening show on main street or at the castle that we could get front row seats to, then watch the show for 15 minutes, then go to CP?

With an adr after the park opening, chances are they won't let you in before the park opening.

Usually it is only 15 mins before the adr...that would put you at park open time. So don't count on getting in before that.

Also, if the kids like the other characters more, I would book a different character meal...but that is just me.

If you want to go down an empty Main St., I think you need to make and ADR for before park opening.

I would think a breakfast closer to 8 would be better. You can finish breakfast and be available for anything special going on at rope drop. Our CP breakfast will be at 8:10. We'll be done and taking pictures before the crowds come down Main Street.

Ditto to everything the other said. It really nice to see main street without a crowd but unless you have ADR before park opening, you most likely won't be able to get in early. also by having breakfast at 9:15, you will likely get out of there past 10:15 and will miss the low crowd moment at some attractions. if the boys don't really like Pooh, I would go to Cape May but that just my opinion.
