Is Crystal Light a diet drink or can anyone drink it? There is an ad for Crystal Light On The Go and I'm wondering if it's something "safe" for me & my family to drink while at WDW.

It's basically sugar free koolaid drink mix. The packets you are talking about are pre measured to mix in with a bottle of water.

Take it with you! My hubby and I always take the lemonade ones to dress up the waters and enjoy them :)

I second the take it with you! I bring one of those little packs and a bottle of water every day for lunch. If I were you, though, if you have a Sam's Club nearby, go there. They have (or did have, I couldn't find them the last time I was there) the same things, but they are a different brand and are much cheaper. They have 2 boxes for about the price of one in a grocery store. They have many different flavors of iced tea. The also have decaffeinated iced tea, which is what I get. When I get home, I'll look at the brand for you. They sell them in the grocery store usually right next to the Crystal Light ones, but as I said, they are more expensive than in Sam's Club.

We used the "On the Go" Crystal light packets when we went to WDW. It was very convenient and great to add to the water! :sunny:

Our family likes the Crystal Light packets when vacationing at WDW. They mix well with a bottle of water. My kids especially like the grape flavor. Wal-Mart has a generic version that is about 20% cheaper than the Crystal Light brand.

Think "Sugar Free Kool Aid"

It's good stuff - cant beleive youve never had it.

Okay, thanks! I think I'll carry some around in the parks to mix with water and save the snack credits for a "snack".

Our favorite crystal light on the go flavor is PEACH TEA!!

It's a diet drink, sweetened with aspartame.
I like Crystal Light but I would be careful how much I give to my kids. At least that's what my MIL keeps telling me. :goodvibes I guess the aspartame isn't good for them. :confused3

I love the little packets, but if you have a large bottle of water, you might need to add 2 pakages. I think they recommend a 12 oz bottle, but most bottles are bigger than that.

It can lead to migranes for some and others usually wind up with digestive problems takign it. I personally avoid aspertame...

but if you are good with taking it/giving it to kids, I know many love those packets! Only problem is that they are good for a size of bottle that WDW doesn't carry (can't recall, but my friend noticed that and adjusted a wee bit for it)

There are some brands made with Splenda too, like Lipton and 4C. I LOVE adding these to my water bottles!

Try it first. If you drink diet soda or other diet drinks you'll probably like it.
Uh...no. I don't drink diet sodas.*blech*. I'll buy a small pack of it and see how it tastes. Does it taste diet-y?

Aspartame is the devil, seriously. That stuff does some wacky things to me. I was so happy when Diet Coke came out with a Splenda version. No more crushing headaches and violent shaking when drinking diet coke.

Yup. You can taste the fake sugar.

You could buy some kool-aid and bring it, pour some into water bottles to taste. Not has handy as the Crystal light to go but an option. I think I've seen Country Time Lemonaid in to-go packets too.

All artificial sweeteners give me and both of my DDs severe migraines. :( I wish they made something like this with real sugar in it! I know the packets would be bigger but who cares.
