Crush's Coaster has the worst Queue ever

when we were there last wk the que had been around the 25min mark but of cource when we decided to hav a go (my aunt took my girls to a show) it was 50min, i thought it was good and im glad we qued but wouldnt que that long again but it it were around the 25min mark i prob would. Then we went straight to rnrc and it was walk on so it worked out pretty good.

i was there the same time as you - 70 min on weds afternoon and 90 minutes yesterday morning!!

no way would i queue that long. i think 20 mins is my limit to queue.

how could Disney not have built a FP for this?!

I suppose my rationale about it being a bad call is multifold.

Firstly, even with the additional dark ride portion, the capacity is on par with a dark ride in Fasntasyland. Heck, Primevil Whirl in Florida has two mirror tracks because they knew capcity was an issue.
WDSP needs rides with high capacity and this does not have it.

The second issue is that it is quite a thrilling ride themed to an animated feature. Having a thrill ride is fine, but theming it to a toon where either kids want to ride and are too short, or do ride and come off screaming in fear is not great (I have seen this happen quite often).

The third reason is the outdoor portion, while fun and giving it kenetics is great, it is also the cause of the multiple break downs (101s). It causes some keys issues as a result.

The forth reason, it is the only attraction to have audio animatronics (a Disney signature) in the park, and yet little ones, elderly and disabled cannot ride it (Walt built Disneyland so that families can have fun together).

The fifth reason is the least problematic to most, is the size of the restraints. I just about fit, so this is not a personal grudge. But DLP thrill rides fit most adults, but I have seen several people turned away because they are too big.

Those are my reasons why I feel it is such a mistake.

As to why no FP, please see my previous post. This ride is a nightmare to have fastpass on (like Peter Pan). The difference with Peter Pan is there is plenty to do near it while you wait and a people eater in the form of PotC next door.

I couldn't agree with you more about this point, Dave. We've had numerous posters on here complaining that their littles ones were so looking forward to riding this after watching Finding Nemo, then finding that they didn't meet the height requirement.

For the first time I heartilly agree with you davewasbaloo!

Peter Pan and Crush were the worst for queues this trip for us - we missed it last time due to referb last time in 2005 and wanted to see what the fuss was about - the ride was pretty neat but it sounds like its creaking a bit under the strain of so many riders (Has it always been that rough or is it time it had another referb)

Personally in the case of Crush I believe the fact its very accessable from Studio 1 doesnt help - Tower of Terror is kind of hidden up by the decor a little and Rock n Rollers right at the back of the park to discourage crowds going there all at once - most E-tickets at Disney parks require a trek and a little dedication to ride. Most people see Crush which looks more appealing than Cars Race Rally or Magic Carpets and promptly go for it

That said I don't mind a slightly more exciting toon ride but Crush does seem quite awkward in terms of placement right next to kid-friendly rides
