I wish flights were available for our dates...they are available for the day we are leaving but not for coming back..but from what I priced...THEY ARE RIDICULOUS!! Too bad we can't teleport!!

When our dates were first published the prices were outrageous. I'm talking over $700 each round trip. Since then the prices have been holding steady at $238 which is reasonable. I'm hoping it'll drop a little bit by the time I'm ready to buy.

Amen! I have a few more days before I can see both there and back flights! And I'm looking at paying around $3000 for me and my 3 kids return! No direct flights from Winnipeg. And airport fees and taxes and RIDICULOUS.

It's been a slow month for saving with the holidays coming up (I've already started shopping!). I've only managed to make a $7 deposit since my last Disney Fund update, bringing my grand total to $367.10.

As you know, I've recently joined Sunshine Rewards and that's a great site to help save for a Disney trip! I've been a member since Oct 28 and have accumulated about $23 so far just from taking surveys. You can exchange credits for paypal deposits, Amazon gift cards, or the best DISNEY gift cards. My goal is a $250 gift card to put toward DDP or our tickets. They're also running a holiday contest so I'm hoping to get more credits or even a prize from that. I've been lurking around their forums and have been talking to people that have made THOUSANDS from SR!

I've also had very good luck with MyPoints lately as well. I have qualified for a bunch of surveys they sent me via email (usually I don't) and they even sent me paper towels in the mail to test. I got 300 points for that! My goal for MyPoints is to get as many Walgreen's gift cards as I can; they can be used to purchase Disney gift cards. A $50 card is 7,250. My current point balance is 3,125 so I'm close to being halfway there!

I've been doing a lot of my holiday shopping through Ebates so I should have some Disney money coming from there soon. MySurvey has been a bit slow lately but I have enough points right now for at least a $10 Paypal deposit. Hopefully I can knock it up to $20 before I cash the points at the end of the month. I've made $30 since joining in July.

That is beyond insane!!! If it weren't a 24 hour drive, and that would tack on 4 days of travel time (which means 4 more days off of work) I would so drive!! I haven't seen that part of the country very much, so it would be cheaper, and fun! But, alas, I'll just have to find a way to cough up flight money! haha DH's mom is a member of a lot of travel sites, and last time found us a crazy good deal on flights, so maybe she will have that kind of luck this time for us!!

BTW...I just wanted to let you guys know....I think I might be going to DL for my bday in MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here if you need me I have pictures of some of the hotel rooms on my old TR. A lot of the 'off site' hotels are closer than the Disney owned...and way less expensive!

Hi all! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (to those of you who celebrate). Mine was nice. Kris and I went to my mom's house. My sister takes care of all the cooking and there were about 15 of us there. Kris is a very picky eater and he went for seconds and even ate candied yams. Double So needless to say the food was delicious! I felt a little bad for Kris though because everyone had a couple drinks & asking when we were getting married. My sister said he should propose on our WDW vacation. No pressure.

In other news, I sprained my ankle. We went running in the park a couple weeks ago (I am not a runner, I've told Kris this but we went anyway) and I must have taken a bad step because my ankle started throbbing. I iced it and thought it would get better with time but a week and a half later I was still limping around & finally went to the doctor last weekend. I now am sporting an air cast and crutches. I was also given painkillers. It's feeling better and I hope it heals soon. The crutches get in the way though I must admit it's nice to have everyone waiting on me.

Kris and I are both working today but we're planning on going to see the Muppets later on tonight. I'm so excited! I love the Muppets and it got great reviews so I'm really looking forward to it. After the movie, I think we're going to look around in the Christmas Tree Shop. Kris hasn't had a Christmas tree in years (he lived with 2 other dudes so decorative they were not LOL) and wants to get one now that we have a place together. He has no ornaments and I only have a few so we're going to go there and look for some. Hopefully the store isn't torn apart from those crazy Black Friday shoppers! I do my shopping online.

I cannot imagine going into our Christmas Tree Shop! It is absolute madness from Halloween on! I hope yours isn't as bad!

I felt bad for him. I kept asking him if he was embarrassed and he said no even though he was bright red!
We didn't even go to the Christmas Tere Shop. Kris wasn't feeling well (we're both sick, ugh) so we just went home!

On a more serious note, please keep Kris's mom in your thoughts & prayers. She's been in the hospital for over a week battling a bad case of pneumonia. She's feeling a little better but she's not outta the woods yet and we'd like to see her out of the hospital soon!

Best movie ever: I LOVE YOU MAN!

And he is so cute as Marshall on How I Met Your Mother. That show is AWESOME! I just discovered it (and Jason) last year! I have caught up (because I bought) on the entire 6 seasons of the show!
