Good to see you back. I had posted here and on face book asking who all was staying on the group rate and we had a lively thread on face book about it. I guess some folks couldn't find their reservations. Glad you got it all figured out.

Shelby, sorry to hear you've been sick but glad you can still sail with us Thanks for everything you've done to arrange this rate for us, we really appreciate it As Kirbo says, I think people were just getting a bit worried that they might not have been included so thanks for your post putting their minds at rest.

Shelby, just as a follow up to my previous post, you have obviously gathered that there has been some discussion on the FB group among those people staying at the Doubletree and I know a couple of people have contacted you after being concerned that they may not have been included in the group booking. I know you have sorted that out now so thank you. And, as I know that you don't do Facebook, I just wanted to post here for your benefit and the benefit of those who are also on the DIS more than FB.

Could you just clarify how the group booking will work for those of us staying there? My understanding is that you are holding a bunch of rooms against your credit card, with an individual name against each room. When we check in on 4/30, we will provide our own credit card and the charge of $189 for the room will be billed to the individual's CC. Is that correct?

The message I originally got from you was that we just needed to present a credit card on arrival, so I'm glad I checked as I would have been upset to have turned up on 4/30 and found there was possibly no room for me. What will happen if those who have rooms held on the group reservatons don't give a CC number to the hotel by 4/1/15?

The reservation group grew so large after that original message, I could not leave my CC open for that much $. I was going to send this update to the group next week, to be sure everyone had almost five months notice. This worked very well for the 2013 WBPC group, organised by someone other than I.

On another note, welcome to all who have joined the group! It's an amazing cruise, one I cannot wait to repeat! (other than the talks & lectures) We have a surprising number of kids in our DIS group, which is WONDERful

Thank you for the kind thoughts I've had to cancel 3 cruises on doctor's orders; it's exciting to finally be able to board the ship next May! PIF is rapidly approaching; nearly time for onboard reservations and excursions. Our amazing tablemates make it twice as fun

Ok I have a little question.. . ItsMy oldest Sons birthday on the 6th May which will be our port day in Cartagena... Do I organise an excursion for him or let him decide what to do for that day..??
He turns 12 so he may want to just stay in the kids club..?? Would you make him do something..??

I would ask him (without making any promises) what he would prefer to do on his birthday. Maybe show him the list of excursions and let him help choose one rather than just telling him you're going to shove him into a horse-drawn carriage or whatever. If you have something on your list that REALLY does not appeal to him or could make his birthday a boring day then give him the option of staying on the ship (if you're comfortable with that), but remind him that there probably won't be a bunch of other kids around to hang out with.

Ok, I have another question! My oldest will turn eleven just before the cruise. She wants to go to Egde, but I told her to enjoy her last year in the Club/Lab. What does your son think about the Club/Lab v Edge?

A suggestion for his birthday...you might want to let him read through the excursions and choose one that fits his interests and your budget? In 2013, someone organised a private, non-Disney excursion for kids. I have to look through old emails to see if I still have the information.

Brixton am I correct in believing that if they are that age the can go to both or have I read it wrong...??? I think Alex would it enjoy the club/ Labs more but I think I would have to look into it a bit more..
But great idea thanks Goonie Andy and Brixton... I might let him choose what to do, he is definitely going fishing in Cabo San Lucas they are going Marlin fishing ... Considering they catch them here where I live his was an odd pick I thought...lol.
I guess it is because A it's in a different country and B someone else is skipper so hubby can actually enjoy himself and Alex catching them.. Lol

I haven't seen to much in Cartagena that Alex would like ..but I will get him to look at maybe he can decide like you guys said..

If a child's age overlaps with 2 clubs, they should be able to go to both from what I read. On cruises with a lot of kids they have to choose but we shouldn't have any problems with that. My son will be 14 so he can go to to edge and vibe.

I spoke to Alex and he doesn't like any of the port adventures in Cartagena.. So we may do a family thing on the boat and not get off... I will check for more to do but it may be a boat stop
