I'm sure that this has been discussed before, but search is down - sorry!

I read a thread recently that mentioned that you can book one member of your party with points and others with cash. I think that is what DH and I are going to do for the cruise we want to take in January. My question is, do you make the cash reservation when you call Member Services to make the points reservation, or do they have to be made separately?

Also, I assume that even though we're only paying cash for one person, will still get double occupancy rates? I was trying to figure out what we'd pay for just one person on the Disney Cruise web site this morning, and single cruisers have an additional fee added on. So I'm estimating the cost will be half of what it would cost to pay cash for two. Does that sound about right?

I am a little confused as to your question so I will try to answer both senarios I see.

#1 - you are booking one stateroom - paying for one person with points and the other person with cash. You will book this reservation solely through Member Services - the Cash Price will be comprable to the double occupancy -early booking discount rate.

#2 - you are booking two rooms - one on cash and one on points - the Point room will be booked with Member Services and the Cash room will be Book with your travel agent or DCL directly. If only one person is in the room you will pay the single occupancy premium rate.

Sorry to confuse! Yes, situation #1 is what we're looking at. Just DH and myself, so I think one stateroom should be plenty :)
