Cruising on points across use years

We are considering using points to book a last minute 7 night cruise departing on May 31 of this year. We have a June Use Year. Will MS allow us to book since the cruise departs during the last 4 months of our Use Year, but the majority of the trip takes place during the new Use Year? Has anyone attempted to book across use years, and bumping up against the dreaded "Rule of 4" by one day?

For Cruises, the sail date determines what points are used. Since the booking date and sail date would be during the last four months, and can't use points.

This is my understanding but I'd call and ask about using the next UY points for the cruise. MS does have some flexibility in which UY to use though normally the issue is when booking 2 years ahead and one doesn't have access to the UY of the cruise.
