We are booked on the Magic Western 3/27/04 which is our spring break. Does anyone have spring break cruising experience? Are there more teens? Our oldest ds is 17 (taking a friend) and our youngest ds is 9.

Just out of curiousity, when is your school's spring break in 2004?

Thanks for any advice!:p

Sandy

We cruised on the 7-night Disney Magic Eastern cruise during our spring break in 2002 (late March).

We live in the Chicago 'burbs, and our spring break in 2004 will be the same week as yours. And we'll be be on your cruise!

It seems the public and private schools in the US have spring breaks throughout March and April. In many areas, spring breaks are still the week before or after Easter. In 2004, Easter will be on April 11.

I can't answer the question about "more teens," because I really didn't pay attention to this, nor do I have any insight into how spring break weeks compare to other weeks in this regard.

With over 2 thousand passengers on board, there will be plenty of passengers at every age, from 12 weeks on up.

One comment about teens: One night we were in the Buena Vista Theatre for a 10 p.m. movie. A few minutes before the movie started, about a dozen teenage girls entered and all sat in the same row, a few rows behind us. My wife and I looked at each other. We each knew what the other was thinking. But we were wrong! The girls were quiet and well-behaved throughout the movie.

Here in Florida that is our Spring Break also. We were thinking of doing this cruise also. We have not done the 7 night and I think I finally have DH talked into doing it.:Pinkbounc

Hey, Sandy, check your pm folder.......I sent you a message ages ago and it still hasn't been read! (Maybe the message alert failed to notify you)

Went last year on the western March 15th cruise. Was spring break for us here in Iowa.
Going again spring break 2004 on the eastern March 20th cruise.

If I remember right the ship was full. Our three younger kids loved it but our 17 year old daughter didn't have as much fun. I have read that most others her age still love DCL. She will not be sailing with us on our 2004 cruise but our other three will.

The ship is so big that you can't tell how many people really are on board. We love it and can't wait for March.:bounce:

The University of Cincinnati's spring break begins on March 21st, 2004.

We are going on a 4 night cruise departing on Easter Sunday (4/11/04). Our spring break starts April 9th and ends on April 18th.

In my part of the world, spring break is the 3rd full week in April.

HI JEANNE! I noticed you took your second cruise in July. You're right...I didn't get notified about your PM. I will check as soon as I post this.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I know in August of 2001 on the Wonder we had a full ship but it never felt crowded.
