I think we'll probably arrive at the port around noon and I figured we'd probably hit the pool right away. I've read that's a good slow time at the pool. Maybe meet for drinks by the pool?

I have been bugging my TA about our cabin number. She called Disney on Friday and they had not assigned it yet.....said it should be Thur or Fri of this week. This is spring break for us and we are headed to the beach on Thur so it may be Sun night or Monday before I can PM you.

The waiting is killing me.....we booked a Cat 12 GTY and are keeping our fingers crossed for an upgrade!!!!!!

Meet around the pool while the kiddos slide sounds great to me. I'm not sure what time we are going to be arriving, I think if DH feels well enough we may hit a park Thursday morning

I had originally wanted to be in line when the port opened, but then I thought ya know, I don't know if he will ever make it back so I'm trying to let my OCD planning play it by ear

I think a meet sounds awesome. I had the same idea about hitting the pool early on. Drinks by the pool sounds awesome!!!

I am not sure when our Magical Express bus is coming in. I know we have to be waiting at the Carribean at 11AM to be loaded up. I am all in for a meet... BRING THE CAMERAS!!!!

We really consider our cruise vacation starting at the terminal so we always get there when it opens. There is SO much to do!! Between the model of the ship, the tv/movie area, the characters, getting signed up for the kids club, the snack area opening up (first chance to use your KTTW card!) and going outside to see the ship ... it all starts there for us so we are there when they open. We have always been within the first 10 people inside. Its so nice when it's empty!!

Now, that being said, we are also surprising the kids at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary that morning with these awesome mock cruise boarding passes that a WONDERful creative DISer made for me. I am going to have Mickey and Minnie hand them their passes at breakfast and then we are heading to the port. Breakfast is at 7:30 so I am hoping that we are out by 9 so that we make it to the port by 10 ... I have no idea how traffic flows at that hour ... it's heading out of Orlando so maybe that will work in our favor? Maybe I should check with the "locals" to find out!!

Joel, if you read this ... can you tell me what traffic is like on a weekday morning between 9 and 10 from the parks/resorts area to the port?? How long of a drive is it and will we hit any traffic?

I had to celebrate silently yesterday ... I couldn't even ask the kids what yesterday was because they don't know yet. I just can't wait to get our butts on that plane ... I think we have like 24 days left!!

Wow that's an ambitious plan! I'm jealous of all you who will be at the parks either before or after the cruise. Hope you have a great time!

I forgot that we will probably need to grab a bite to eat when we get onboard, so we may hit the buffet before we make it to the pool. Or I guess we could grab something from one of the quick places near the pool too. Either way we'll look forward to seeing you all there! I'll be the one with a big smile, white legs, and a tall strawberry daiquiri!

When you check in for the cruise, each passenger is given a KTTW card (Key To The World) ... it's basically your room key but it's also connected to a credit card so it's your charge card for the entire cruise as well. If you don't want your kids to have charging privileges, they punch a hole in part of the card.

The card is active immediately ... and when the shop/food stand opens, you can buy sodas, snacks, pens, autograph books, lanyards, etc ... all with your KTTW card. No cash is accepted at the port. Its very liberating to swipe that card for the first time!!! *and habit forming ... so watch out!*

I will be the one going, "WOW, look, neat... etc... Oh and the camera in hand... an 8 year old by my side in amazement and asking when can she swim, over and over. And DH acting all cool. LOL

HAHAHA this my 3rd cruise and I will be saying that too!!!

Believe it or not, on our 7 night *which we were on last year, this exact time * ... our alcohol alone added up to $1,200 Those drink of the day's ADD UP FAST!!!

Can't wait!!! We are staying overnight at the Port somewhere so I definitely plan on being at the terminal as soon as we can. I want to make the most of the trip.

I think we might hit Parrot Cay for lunch as I have read it's a bit less chaotic then the buffet can be. Then for sure hitting the kiddie pool area.

Just checked online and we got an upgrade! From 11 to 9! Wheee!!!
