Cruisin' MAYniacs - May 14-17, 2009

:scared1::scared1:Oh snap! It has just hit me that it is the four week countdown until we fly out:scared1::scared1:
Hmmm.....what's on Cheryl's to do list?
FE gifts (ok browsing online now)

tanning (firm believer my fat looks better a nice shade of brown rather the pale ivory I am normally:rotfl2:)

I need a new perm

Gotta finally tell the boys school we are taking them out-had a private snicker with DH at our boy's 9 weeks award ceremonies last week. They have had 3 semesters of perfect attendance-hmmm darn trip to disney and a cruise is going to ruin it for the 4th nine weeks. Oh well....three outa four aint bad:lmao::lmao:

I procrastinated too long on getting the boys passports. We got ours last year, guess the birth certificates will have to do.

:banana:to all of the fellow deck 6 folks! Jenni-please feel free to stop by as well to chat on the verandah! Diana you'll have to make sure you stop by to say hi since you are so close! We were forever spoiled to a verandah on our first cruise with RCCL-we sailed in a suite. Since we are doing the land/sea package it was also tied to the room level as well. You had to choose a minimum of cat 6 to get the poly or contemporary (we chose poly).

Ok-my brain is dead and I must finish my shopping order...........:thumbsup2

Hey everyone ...

quick question ... how do we keep small bottles of alcohol out of the wrong hands?? or am I worrying for nothing?

Kat

Guys, I thought it would be really fun to post some pictures of ourselves so that we know who we are looking for at the terminal! :lmao:

Here we are from our last cruise on the Magic!

Here are the kids ...

Us at Castaway Cay ...

And the kids on formal night ...

OK ... who's next??

Kat

Our kids are 11 and 9, which seems to be a popular age group for kids on this cruise. I was thinking kids and adults alike would probably enjoy pirate items. pirate: Did I read somewhere that they still have the Pirates in the Caribbean party but no longer give out the hankerchiefs at dinner? That might be a fun option for a FE gift. I ordered some pirate eye patches for all the kids (except for the baby). He's going to be my challenge.

At 9 our daughter likes to act like she's outgrown the princesses but I think her inner child will win out on the cruise. There's always Hannah Montana too. I think for boys in this age group, sports and video games are usually popular so maybe something sports themed? Some ideas I've seen on other threads that I think my kids would enjoy include candy, note pads and pens, tattoos, and bubbles. Anybody else have good suggestions?:confused3

Jenni

Sounds like your DD and my DD (8) will get along! We decided to surprise Casey with the Bibity Bobity dress up thing and then lunch with Cinderella at the castle. So I tell her she needs to bring her cinderella dress (that she begged for last year that cost $100) and she about flipped out! Great huh?
My dd loves little things like that pens, notebooks, tattoes...

And I laughed out loud when you said your DH was thinking naughty gifts for the adults! Sounds like something my DH would say! Is it too stereotypical for me to say all men think alike lol?

Yes they are!!! Men.... LOL

I have no pictures of DH at work! LOL

Pictures are a great idea! Kat and Diana, your families are beautiful! I'll scrounge up some pics tonight at home.

Cheryl, I'm with you on the "dark fat", my usual glow-in-the-dark winter legs won't go well in the Caribbean!

We're going to do the treasure hunt to tell the kids about the cruise tonight. I can't wait!

Jenni

OK...I have been so slack lately. I am so excited that we have a FE group! I bought our FE tonight! Now onto goodies! Looks like I have the babies of the group but they are easy to please right!?!

We are on the 6th deck too...I will have to check for the room #. And unless I get on here a lot in the next week I won't be able to PM so I will just post here!

Can't wait...my 3 year old is soooooooooooooo excited. She talks about it everyday on our way home from school!

I'll have to dig up a picture of DH and myself.
Kat that picture of your kids on formal night is beautiful!

OK, I lied...I guess I can't post pictures yet either. I really need to visit here more often so I can get my posts up! Let me know if I am doing something wrong?!

-Colleen

I know you have to have 10 posts in order to send private messages here, so maybe you need that many to post pictures? You do have to post pictures via a photo hosting site like photobucket, did you try that? Here's a link to a post that tells you how: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1359157

Hope this helps, I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your family!

Jenni

Great pics you guys. I need to figure out how to add them.

Me and the kids watched the cruise dvd again last night while DH was at work. We are all getting so excited!!!:banana:

We don't have our cabin number yet....we booked a gty room. Hopefully we will get it soon.

Jenni.....thanks for the post about how to pics up...I am going to check it out now.

I hope your reveal to the kids goes well....you will have to post and tell us all about it. I can't wait to hear about the fun!!!!

Diana

I hope are girls get to meet. My Kasey thinks it is so cool that there is another girl named Casey on the ship. She doesn't know any other girls with that name. :goodvibes

I noticed your Kasey has braces. My Casey is in Retainers right now to move her teeth out before she gets braces. Should be about the begining of the school year when she gets them. I think she wants the multi-color ones too!

Casey is excited to meet Kasey.... Plus all the other kids... I think they are going to have a blast!
