Cruises where kids are free?

Wow, lots to think about! I am trying to plan something for early June leaving Galveston. There would be four of us two adults, a 5 and a 7 year old. If it would make a significant difference in price. My parents would go. I read that it can be just a bit more for a second room? I have not EVER planned a cruise. Please help! Thank you so much!!

I have never heard of a second room being at a cheaper rate....but maybe some lines do? I would guess not though.

Stateroom pricing is based on occupancy. I think what one of the previous posters was referring to is that getting a 2nd cabin for their children instead of all 4 being in one cabin was just a little more.
Example if you are paying $599/pp 1st and 2nd guest and $499 3rd and 4th guest in one stateroom, the difference in booking 2 double occupancy staterooms instead of one quad is only $200.

I too live in San Antonio, and your thread got me all excited about cruising out of Galveston. I was all ready to book RCL but it looks like their ship won't be here in the summer. Just Celebrity, but my kids were looking forward to the ice rink so I will have to rethink this...

My daughter just wants to go to American Girl in Dallas but I am not sure that the boys will be as enthusiastic

Okay, change in plans again! The cruise is go ing to be just me and my mom. We may get a group of girls to go, but not sure yet. So, now I am just looking for something out of Galveston for 7 days leaving early to mid June. Any help is greatly appreciated!
