Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

Dang that is a lot of water! If you are like me suddenly you'll have to go and it will be like Niagra Falls! :rotfl:

~Amanda

You got it Amanda - that's exactly how I am. Once I start going, that's it for a couple of hours and it's every 15 minutes!!!!! ROFL :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I'm fessing up that I did actually have a gain. It's only .5 pounds (some of that 1 pound was water but since it didn't all come off then it wasn't all water) but it's still a gain in my mind. I was really bad yesterday. I had a nice nutritious dinner, not bad there. BUT - I baked cookies last night for bingo and that was NOT a good thing. I'm going to have to make things that are not cookies then I won't be tempted to eat them. I had one cookie - that wasn't the problem. The problem was the amount of cookie dough I ate!!!!! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: I had AT LEAST 5 scoops of cookie dough. And we aren't talking small scoops either. I did stop though when I started feeling sick (all that sugar that I'm not use to) and I paid for it this morning in the bathroom (sorry if TMI).

I am back on track today, have had a few M&M's (that were at home). I'm not feeling great so I won't eat as much today as I don't like to eat when my throat feels icky. I did get in 84 ounces of water at work and another 24 at Jazzercise so I had 108 ounces yesterday. Today won't be as great because I'm not going home at lunch but I did bring in two 16 ounce waters to drink this afternoon. I'm almost done with my first 42 though. So I'll get in at least 74 ounces today.

I'm in a lump right now, which I was wondering when that would hit. TOM comes next week so I'm sure I'm not going to hit 5 pounds off this month - we'll see. That's okay - I haven't quit because I had a gain and because I messed up - for me THAT is the victory because I'm so determined.

Thanks guys - I'll try to hit some journals today and some tomorrow to get caught back up again. Another busy week. Is it Thanksgiving yet?????? I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally around then (I sure hope sooner but it doesn't seem like it but then that's how my fall is).

Keep on
Chris

It can't be Thanksgiving yet, I haven't lost any weight for that challenge!!

I know what you mean about the water retention. There is something so wrong when you can drink 100 oz of water and only pee 3 times that day. :confused3 I think if someone stuck a fork in me right now I'd spray out water like a lawn sprinkler!

Don't get discouraged with your minor gain. TOM will be gone before you know it and you will be back on track! Just think of all the progress you made with the smaller clothes.

Next time you bake something for bingo, make something you don't like as much so you are not tempted with the cookie dough!! Keep it up, you are still doing great. :goodvibes

Hi Chris,

Sorry I haven't made it here yet. Cookie dough is a trigger for me too. Love the stuff. Tomorrow is a new day. Keep pushing the water. It will help with TOM as well. You are right that you hav had a victory. Getting right back at it is a vctory.

Take care,
Beth

Well I kept more on track what I was eating today - rather better track of :) - and here's what it was:

breakfast
fat free yogurt

snack
100 cal oreo snack
1/4 cup M&M's

lunch
ham sandwich
2 pickle slices
1/2 cup cottage cheese

dinner
(had scalloped potatoes and ham and just separated everything to get the best count)
8 ounces potatoes
2 ounces ham
1/2 cup milk/cream of mushroom soup
1 cup corn

And here's my totals: 1287 cals, 24.44 fat grams, 183.6 carbs

Very on track today - even with those darned M&M's :) I do feel like I look better today, I looked in the mirror when I was in the bathroom after a meeting tonight and I just looked like I looked better, especially in my face. Off to read for a bit and bed - Harry Potter is just getting way too good that I'm using letting Britt drive to school (she's still on her learner's permit) the next few days as an excuse so I can read at least a half hour in the morning!!!!!! :) :) I just finished their fall visit to Hogsmeade (this is not a spoiler). :)

Keep on

Hey Chris!

Glad you had a good food day! Neat idea to squeeze in more HP time too, I like it! hehe! Doesn't the book get better as it goes along?? It is a real roller coaster this time! :)

Hope you have a great day tomorrow!

Well the yo-yo let loose this morning. I got on the scale and I was down 2 pounds!!!!! I even got on it three times to make sure I was reading it right LOL and sure enough, all three times it said the same thing. I sure didn't feel like I had lost 2 pounds with all this water I'm drinking but since it never changed once I'm taking it. UGH - I mean don't get me wrong. I'm happy that I lost 2 pounds but I had just gained and then it was gone like that, whatever!!!!

So today is going okay - I have gotten my fair share of walking and exercising just here at work today - I even ran a bit because I was in the middle of something important and something even more important came up on the phone. At one point I was being pulled in 5 different directions. I finally told my boss I love being busy BUT!!!!! WOW.

Okay - so food is doing okay today. Haven't eaten much which means I'm going to be straining later tonight but we'll see. I have done 42 ounces of water this morning and working on the other 42 and will drink 30 at workout tonight.

Thanks again for your support. Thought I'd get to journals but it hasn't worked yet. UGH

Keep on

Oh, and this is exactly how my day has gone - I get started on something and forget to do something within that activity. I got a new clippie!!!!! ROFL - how can anyone forget when they bridge to the next level of clippies - ROFL

I'm liking my new gold!!!!

Thanks jen

Well I did okay for today. Need to have a little more to eat but here's what I've had today:

breakfast
fat free yogurt
cheese stick

snack
1/4 cup plain M&M's

lunch
4 ounces turkey kielbasa
1/2 cup cottage cheese

dinner
steak sub with sweet onion sauce

snack
2 almond joys
2 chips ahoy cookies

Here's my totals: 1303 cals, 43.3 fat grams, 156.3 carbs; 104 ounces of water

I did pretty good and I didn't break down and put the M&M's out of my office but I did well not eating many today. I grabbed when I was hungry and didn't have time to reach in my drawer and get something healthier out. I didn't get a lot of time to eat today and it was really bad - 10:30 before I even got to eat my yogurt - I had gotten out of the frig at 10!!!!! And I just wasn't appealed to much food when I came home for lunch so I didn't eat much. What I ate filled me.

Have a good night everyone
Keep on
Chris

WEIGH TO GO CHRIS!!! :cheer2: :thewave: :hyper: :jumping1:

I've heard in the past that every 10 lbs is a size down! It may not be precise, but it sure sounds, looks and FEELS good! :goodvibes ::yes:: :cloud9:

How is Brit doing? :confused3 Give her {{HUGS}} from me!

Thanks Kim and Mike - Britt is doing okay. We have been very laxed about not counting stuff for her but that's been to blame for both of our schedules. Homework is more important to me than sitting down for 30 minutes at night to count what she has eaten. I'm still guarding everything that she is eating and she's doing pretty good. I know she was at 24 pounds off over a week ago but hasn't had time to weigh yet this week. She was able to get into a size L tshirt that we got from the Operation Cornfields to Coastline that we participated in last weekend and it's not tight. So I'm guessing she's probably pretty close to 26 or 27. She'll weigh on Saturday.

She has another appointment with the nutritionist on the 30th to see how she's doing. I hope we don't have to go back for 6 months after this - monthly appointments are very hard for us to make with her school schedule and the clinic not being open much longer after she gets home from school. But she's doing well.

Got on the scale again this morning and down another .5 pounds. I guess I will make at least 5, didn't think I would. I got into another pair of pants. I bought these a year ago, didn't get them hemmed, gained about 10 pounds, were very tight at the beginning of the summer and they are very comfortable now. We'll see how people like them, they are seersucker pants but they are multicolored and I just can't decide yet if I really like them. Which is fine because I won't be able to wear them next year. Oh well.

Okay - got a busy busy day at work. Did I ever tell you I can't wait for Sunday to get here this week - only day I don't have something going on. I really value that work that family's with more than one child go through, I can't even imagine as it's hard with just one sometimes!!!!!

Have a great day everyone - it's almost Friday!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Hi! Isn't it fun to fit into things that were tight before? Congrats!

Thanks for your comments in my journal. I had never thought about a back nerve being responsible for the tingling in my feet, but it makes sense. I'll try loosening my shoe laces.

Hope you have a great day!!! :)

Hi, Chris! Sorry I have been MIA (haven't even had time to hit my own journal),but I wanted to come by and tell you congratulations on hitting that next clippie level! Gold looks great on you! :teeth: :thewave:
Congrats to Britt for sticking to her healthier eating habits even in the midst of school pressure and schedule chaos!
Keep up the great work, kiddo! Very soon you'll need another whole new size wardrobe!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! That is WONDERFUL that you have lost 30 lbs! Whatever you are doing, keep it up because obviously it is working 100%!!!

I'll join the throngs in saying the gold clippie looks fantastic. Congratulations!!

Operation Cornfields to Coastline? Sounds like a Katrina relief effort. Thanks from a Louisiana resident. It warms our hearts to see the entire country banding together to help.

I love your attitude about the seersucker pants. Wear them now because later they will be too big. :sunny:
