Cruise Tycoon game

OK - I just can't wait until our cruise! In the meantime, I'm keeping occupied by playing Cruise Tycoon. Its actually based on the Carnival line, but that's ok. You design your cruise ship from the staterooms to the hot tubs -- restaurants, lounges, etc., etc.

Anyone else into this game?

Must admit I didn't know there WAS a Cruise Tycoon game, lol. But, as a Roller Coaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon junkie, I'm gonna have to run out and buy it, lol.

Me! My DH and kids bought it for me for Christmas because I am a cruise addict and I love Rollercoaster Tycoon. I installed it and played it for a couple hours but it is so involved and I kept crashing. Have you had better luck?

I've been eyeing that game too, but mostly for my DDs (ages 7 & 10). They have Zoo Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon and the Sims. They can spend hours building things and trying to make their guests happy.

My question is this, though - for anyone who has played the game, would you say that there are any inappropriate elements for my DDs? The game is rated T (for Teen).

Hi -

I haven't had any problems with crashing or anything.

Also, I haven't seen anything inappropriate except for people sitting at the restaurants in bathing suits - LOL!

I've been wanting to get Cruise Tycoon, but haven't yet. I thought I saw a picture on the box of a half naked, overweight guy on the floor, like he had passed out drunk. LOL

I didn't even know this game was out there! I just bought one from EBay for 4.00...so if it is not good I won't feel bad!

My DS (9) bought it after he found out he was going on the Disney Cruise. He really loves it, but he is a "Tycoon" junkie. He's got them all, including Sea World Tycoon. I don't play them myself.

Where at on e-bay dis you find one for $4.oo. I would like to get one because I have every Roller tycoon they have put out and the sea world one because we are ate sea world right now.

You can get Cruise Tycoon at Walmart now for $9.99. It is in the "budget" software section. A few months ago when we bought it, we paid $19.99. On my last visit, I saw that it was now in the budget section. Of course, you no longer get the lovely box as you do with the $19.99 version--and I do so LOVE my $10.00 software boxes.

The $10 game is Cruise Lines Tycoon and the updated game is called "Carnival Cruise Lines Tycoon 2005: Island Hopping". I don't know how different these two games are.

Oh man... this would be the downside of having a Mac....
Maybe Disney will get the idea and making a DCL version?? Well not make it but allow it, and maybe they could insist on it being cross platform!! Haha a girl can dream can't she?
