Does anyone have photos of any of the wheelchair accessible staterooms on the DCL? My husband and I are considering a cruise in 2011, but we're very comfortable with the roll-in showers at the Polynesian and are slightly concerned about changing. Thanks in advance!

These shots are from stateroom 6654 on the Magic. Most of the bathrooms do NOT have the combo of both tub and roll in shower. Both me and friend who came along are wheelchair users and had no problem what so ever in using the bathroom. Basically felt no difference on that department between land or sea, apart from the toilet making more noice onboard. Also no flooding -unlike some have reported-, so I could safely transfer to and from the toilet after friend had just taken a shower.

Shower is to the left when looking into the bathroom, toilet right in front and tub to the right. Door also has grab bars on them on the inside.

Remember also that the Disney Dream will be sailing in 2011 too! While no one has seen the accessible staterooms on the Dream I'm sure they will have plenty of space in the staterooms for the turning radius of a w/c and will have a roll in shower-those are ADA requirements. I've already booked accessible staterooms in September for a back to back sailing but am hoping to see the ship before those dates. I've never had issues with any DCL staterooms- have been in verandah and inside locations ( haven't tried oceanview).---Kathy
