Here is a report I made one another thread to my Got Juiced Friends with a few additions.

We left our home at 3:30 am Wednesday, August 31. Arrived in PC around 1:30 and checked into the Radisson at the Port. We had a great room right by the pool. Nice King size bede. Needless to say we were very tired. Prior to checking in we saw a Wal-Mart on the way in to PC and decided to stop for a new memory card for my digital camera. We get off the exit and I swear DH could not find the place. I finally convince him to go back and take a left then an right. He busted out laughing when we came right to it. He thought it funny that I could find the Wal-Mart on vacation in Florida. We were very tired from the drive. Since we realized if we stayed in the room we would go to sleep we drove a while and visited Ron Jon's. Came back and we had a nice shower. I had wanted to go to eat at Grill's but we were just too tired so we went to the bar and shared the Grouper sandwich and the Key Lime dessert. All was very delicious. We stayed there long enough that when we went back to our room we could shower and go to bed.

Thursday, September 1

This was my birthday. I was able to talk with my dad but not the kids. Our shuttle time was at 10:00 am. We were early and waited about 20 minutes. We got on the shuttle to find it we had the same drive we have had in the past. He is always really good. But one lady did not know to park in the cruise parking so we had to wait on her. Alex went to the parking lot to meet her and we could not find her. So we went back to the front of the hotel and there she was. We got to the port at 10:20. We were the third family in line to get into the terminal. The terminal was not open yet. We had to wait 10 minutes. We were the second in line to get on the ship. Had a nice conversation with the couple in front of us. The time flew by. Two of the other dissers I have spoke to met me in line. Before we knew it we were able to board the ship. We had lunch at BBB, although the CM's tried there best to get us to go to PC. I like to eat at BBB. Normally we find it less crowded and I love to see what is going on. We were able to get our rewards points applied to our account, get wine tasting reservations and the bridge tour tickets. We were in our staterrom by 1:20 and unpacked by 1:40. DH went down for a drink in Diversions and then we headed to the spa for our couples massage. This was just awesome. As always I had to listen to the hard sale which I do not care for at all. But we love the spa. Came out in time for the boat drill. Visited our rooms to leave our life jackets. DH shecked his messages on his cell and found out he would have to report to Mississippi on Saturday, September 10. I have to say knowing this did put a large damper on our cruise. This was not a good birthday present for me. I tried very hard to be upbeat because I know how very upset DH was over this. We had called down for room service to bring us wine and champagne glasses and a cork screw. They assured us this would be done promptly after the drill. We waited for 30 minutes in the room and they never came. I was disappointed because I had brought a bottle of wine just for the sail away celebration. We did go on up to the party but Dh had to take a work call about his assignement to MS. Finally went back to the room and found the glasses and corkscrew. I poured us a glass of wine and went back to deck nine to watch the sail away after all. Our dining rotation was PTA with the staggered time of 8:30 pm for dining. At Cadiallic's the manager of Palo was very kind when I explained I would love to have chocolate souffle for my birthday. He looked something up in the computer and laughed and said today is really your birthday. I laughed too and said yes it is. I guess they have many people lie to them. He was very gracious to us and asked us to ask for him when we arrive at Palo. We ate that evening at PC. While the food was good it was just not as good as usual. Headed up to Palo and had dessert and coffee. Our server brought me a plate with Happy Birthday written on it. It was just wonderful. We headed back to watch Something About Love. We tourned in for the night at 1:45 am.

Friday we got up and ate at Tritions for breakfast. I wished we would have gone to BBB instead. We went to the pool for a while and then the spa again. We went to the Bridge Tour. Very boring. Then went on to the wine tasting. I meet Suzanne another friend from the boards. We sat with a nice couple for the tasting and the 5 of us including Suzanne went down for the beer tasting. Amy and I had the martini tasting verses the beer tasting. We had a great time. It was nice to meet them. Had dinner at Tritions and they gave me a nice cake for my birthday and whispered Happy Birthday to me. I had told them to please not sing to me but they would not let down so they decided on the whispering instead. We watched another movie, Sky High. We never left the ship in Nassau.

Saturday, we got up and had our romantic breakfast in bed. Got ready and headed to Serenidity Bay. I loved it there. We were there fairly early and had a great place to sit. The water was just awesome. We took a swim and then I pulled my chair down to the edge and read a few chapters in my book. We left and had lunch then headed back to do a little shopping. Went back to the ship to put ort purchases up and get change to mail postcards. I had a blast on the banana boat. I rode in front. Next time I will bring goggles with me. We came back and showered and got ready for Palo for dinner. Had a wonderful server, Serena from Italy. As usual the food was wonderful. We both ahd the Grilled Fillet and chocolate souffle for dessert. Watched another movie, Dark Water and was in bed by 1:00am.

Sunday we got up and had our breakfast in AP. Gave out tips and hugs. Our head server remembered I had celebrated my birthday on board. He wanted to make sure we had a wonderful time.

We stopped back at Ron Jon's because we had not bought DS much on the cruise. We drove almost straight home after that. We left PC at 9:30am and pulled in our drive way at 6:15pm. This is awesome time because we normally drive it in 10 hours. We ate on the road. I think DH just wanted to get home and see the kids.

A note to add: DH did not have to go to Mississippi after all. He is still on the stand my list and may very well still have to go, but for now it is too early to send insurance people down. Until they start allowing people in he is safe here. Although his assignments were changed to start local he is working our of town but not due to the hurricane.

I have to say this was a nice cruise. We had a good time. It was nice to be able to do things we wanted to in the past but was not able to do because of the kids. I did think the food was not up to par and I felt our servers was lacking from previous experiences.

A birthday cruise alone with your DH...sounds wonderful. Sorry the food wasn't up to par and hopefully your DH won't have to go to Mississippi!!

Just looked back here.

DH did not have to go to Mississippi. Very lucky he is still home.

Yes the birthday cruise was wonderful and to be alone with DH was great. He is already telling me he wants to do the same for his birthday.

Disney is wonderful but to be honest if you take away the disney part everything else is as good as RCI.
