cruise points for 2005

Has anyone heard anything about 2005 points for JUly? We're planning on the Eastern carribean for July 2005 but would like to know sailing dates and points. Any info would be great.

Historically the point schedules for cruises have not been out until like April. They will let you book at your 11 month point but you will not know the amount of points (or cash price) until a later date. One thing you can count on it the points will increase each year.

Cash prices are not even out for then yet. Historically, I think the points came out March the last 2 years and I'm pretty sure it was about then the year previous to those as well. Seems like it was very late March last year and mid March the year before.

Isn't that the truth!

And isn't it stupid for them to charge $75.00 for changes made months prior to the cruise! Another DVCer told me that he had to pay $75.00 to delete one person and add another 8 months before the date. Now please tell me why that is so expensive and complicated, especially when it takes seconds to make the change???? AND no paperwork has been done?!

I thought the fee for points went up to $100 now. Am I right?

We went on our last cruise on points, but in the future I won't be using points (we only have 150 points). I think I prefer to book my cruise with cash when I want it (not at the 11 month window), then book our visit to WDW with the points (I had planned to use use studios, but after a trip with a 1 bedroom, DH is insisting that we have a 1 bedroom for now on---and HE wasn't even that interested in buying into DVC, Go Figure ).
