I need some help. We will be taking a 'big' vacation in the summer of 2003. Do we go to WDW or do we take a 4 day cruise. We willbe using points and have 3 kids. The kids would love either, but does any one have any ideas?I was thinking if we cruised we could at least visit the Magic Kingdom for a day. help!!

Hard choice.
If you or your kids have never been to WDW, then I would say that my first choice would be the parks. If you have been to WDW then the cruise would be good. The land and sea is another option, but again if you've not been to WDW it may take more time to see everything.

We debated this exact same thing. Have opted for the 7 day cruise (all on points). Our reasoning - our kids are going to be 10,6,4,3 at vacation time: the 6 & 3 year olds don't like fast rides, the 10 and 4 year olds do but the 4 year old isn't big enough to do some of the rides but next year she should be and then we could split up easier (2 kids each). Also when our DS is 11 he will still love WDW and the others will be just that much older and enjoy it that much more (maybe the 3 year old won't be afraid of characters then). The beauty of DVC is you know you get to go somewhere every year! Isn't it great? Don't know how much sense this made to you but it's just what we thought worked best for our family. We still might go to WDW on the Sat. the cruise returns and fly out Sunday but points for Sat. are high so......

We are doing the 7 night land/sea because I didn't want to miss out on the parks. So maybe this would be an option for you, just a thought.

We used to be Disney World fanatics, but we noticed so many cost-cutting measures, even prior to 9/11, that we felt like a lot of the magic was gone. We have never felt that way on the cruise ships...as a matter of fact, instead of doing our traditional 3-day cruise and then a week at WDW, this year we are just doing three Wonder cruises in a row and skipping WDW altogether. The cruise ship is where we really feel the pixie dust.
