Cruise next month--question about changing rooms

I am thinking the answer is no but wanted to ask. I am cruising in Sept and have 2 connecting ocean view rooms booked. I see that the prices have went down and there are connecting verandah rooms available to book for quite a bit less. Is this typical? I thought prices went up other than the GTY rate. Is it possible to switch and get refunded for the difference or no since I am paid in full?
