I've never been on a cruise at all- let alone a DISNEY CruisE! Can you please give me some insite as to what there is to do on a cruise and what you enjoy most about cruising? WHat is the smallest room you would go with (I like deluxe resorts if that helps?!??!) and do you ever get bored??

Sorry for so many quaetions, but I'm very curious about these cruises and I'm thinking about doing this for our 25th anniversary in March 2005. Thanks !

What did we like most....

Being able to do nothing or being on the go. It's your choice. There is always something you can do. Sometimes you have to decide which thing you want to do and forgo another because there are so many choices. The food is scrumptious! mmmmm! The staff is VERY attentive! We can't wait to cruise with Disney again.

I prefer a deluxe hotel (ie. Contemporary) although we don't usually stay in the very best rooms in a deluxe hotel. We choose a Cat. 5 with a veranda and were very happy!

Keep reading these boards and you'll get TONS of information!

Just being out on deck and watching the ocean go by is worth the price alone, to me!!

As far as the smallest room to stay in... if you like deluxe resorts, think category 3 or higher. There is a big price jump from category 4 to 3, but if it is affordable for you, the extra space is wonderful, and you have concierge service as well.

And you will never, ever get bored! Way too much to do. Clubs, shows, movies, games, ports-of-call, shopping, snorkeling, eating, swimming, laying by the pool... even a couple of hours of sleep in there somewhere!

There is nothing about Disney Cruise Lines that you can't learn by coming here to these boards, so stay tuned!

I could talk all day on this subject (believe me, I COULD), but I won't. Read the posts - that's the best way to find out a lot of info. about cruising. Check out the one on here now about the verandahs - that will help you decide if you should go to those categories or not. I HIGHLY recommend a verandah - especially if you like good accomodations. You'll get the most out of your trip that way, too. You'll have a WONDERful time. Both ships are great.:Pinkbounc

You can also do a search on the internet. Try www.cruisecritic.com. very good site.

Remember, you will find people who will find something wrong with every cruise. Different ships and lines cater to different groups of people. Try a 4 day cruise first as a test. What I like best is that you can do everything or nothing at all...its your cruise. You make what you want out of it.

Disney is geared towards families. People are lying by the pools...

Buckaroos' Dad : Me, I did most of my lying in ESPN, but guys watching sports will do that...

karebear, don't forget about the spa! :) Disney has a great spa, with massages, surial baths, etc. And of course Palo, the adults-only restaurant, is on the must-do list whenever you cruise Disney!

Once you board, you won't be bored aboard.

We love sitting on the verandah and watching to ocean go by as we sail along. Its so incredibly peaceful and relaxing compared to the stress of day to day life.
