Next year, we are going to go on the Disney Dream and then spend a few days in WDW (Because I can't be that close and not go.) What's the time line for disembarking and is it even possible to do both in one day?

You can elect to leave the ship as soon as it is cleared (possibly as early as 7:30-8) but this would mean you would take your own luggage off the ship. This is good if you have your own car or have a car picking you up. If you take Disney transfers you are at the mercy of when they leave and how many stops they make. It's best to get on the earlier buses as I've heard the later buses may sit longer to fill up and then stop out more resorts meaning you could be on there a while if you are the last stop.

In the past, I have left the ship around 8-9 and taken the shuttle to Budget to retrieve my reserved car. From there we've been able to get directly over to our resort, check-in and be at the park of our choice before noon.

Well, you certainly won't be able to do ALL of WDW in a day. When we had a late flight out, we got off the ship around 8:00, took the shuttle to the rental car place and were at Animal Kingdom by 10:30. Spent most of the day there and flew out of MCO at 7:30 pm.

Thank you! We're going to be with a couple that lives in the Orlando area, so I'm assuming we'll have our own car.

Thank you! We'll be staying for a few nights, so thankfully I don't have to cram everything into one day. Although I could certainly try if I had to! :rotfl2:

Absolutely! People every day get off the ship in the morning and are in a park well before noon. Disney makes you get off nice and early (remember you can get on shortly before noon, so the previous passengers are long gone), and WDW is just over an hour away. Plan on it, and enjoy what you can visit.

We took our time disembarking the Dream last year in June (second seating, ate leisurely, etc.), took DCL transport to POR, checked in, changed clothes, took the bus to Epcot and were there a little after 11 AM and had a lovely day at Epcot. Did we do everything we wanted there? Nope, but it was certainly enough for having just disembarked.
